It’s been raining on and off since Friday.
Sometimes heavy and other times just drizzling and then a few moments of sunshine coming through.
But hari ni, it’s been raining quite heavily with really strong winds as well.
Nasib baik The Other Half’s trellis tak tercabut diterbangkan dek angin! Kuat you!
But it hasn’t been cold though..
Selalunya kalau hujan and ada angin, sure sejuk kan but so far it’s only been the mid to low 20s during the day and slightly lower around mid teens in the morning.
We all still tak payah pakai socks in the house and cuma pakai baju lengan panjang aje in the house and without the heater being switched on.
It’s nearly the end of Autumn, next month dah nak masuk Winter tapi masih lagi panas in Perth!
Bila lah nak sejuk so boleh I bergaya dengan my boots and jackets…
Tonite for dinner I made potato, sour cream and chives bread.
I have sour cream and 2 biji boiled potatoes to use up.
Surfed the net and found a recipe that uses mashed potato, sour cream and chives in the dough mix.
But I altered the amount of the ingredients given in that recipe sebab nampak macam banyak sgt pulak the flour he used. And I also added about 2 teaspoons of sugar. I guess when you’ve been making bread a while, you tend to follow your feelings on how a dough should look and feel like, hehehe.
Dough ni depends a lot on humidity.
If you want the original recipe, it’s at this site.
The bread was eaten with crumbed lamb chops and 2 types of salads, bean salad and mexican salsa.
The inside of the bread. It is really soft and moist and you could taste the chives really well, hehehe.
The crumbed lamb loin chops. So ada bone kat tengah2 tu.
The bean salad and the Mexican salsa.
I didn’t make any gravy for the lamb chops because the salads gave enough flavours to complement the chops.
