When can I start?

I found out semalam yang kat sini pun ada biskut raya tunjuk tunjuk jugak!

Tapi kena order baru dapat instead of in the true sense of just main tunjuk tunjuk aje.

Macam macam boleh order you! hehehehe…

What I heard semalam, the biskut on order were biskut makmur (which I really love but I tak order sebab inti dia guna kacang tanah Sad smile), kuih tart nenas (which I also tak order sebab besar hajat di hati nak buat sendiri, hehehe), kuih layang (I have no idea what this is), kuih suji, biskut cheese (which I also do not know what this is), biskut mama carey and a few others I can’t remember.

And harga dia was really reasonable lah. They were selling it for $30/100 pieces.

My friends kat masjid semalam dah tunjuk tunjuk aka order order…Bila pulak I nak start my engine buat kuih raya ni!!!!!!!

Uwaaaaaahhhhhhhh……

I just need a slight push to the right direction……

I rasa macam tak cukup tangan nak buat everything…..I don't know smile

Bila I tengok previous years posts on biskut raya yang I made and the open house I did, I really tak tau where I got all the energy and the time to do all those things. I rasa macam bukan I aje yang buat all those things, hehehehe.

For Iftar last night, I jst goreng keropok lekor (frozen from Msia, cant remember what brand though). I goreng banyak2 so everyone kenyang makan itu aje, hahaha.

Rasa dia not bad lah. Tak lah sesedap fresh keropok lekor from Ganu tu but compared to my home made keropok lekor, memang sedap seribu kali lah, heeee….

And I think lagi sedap dari some keropok lekor yang I pernah beli kat pasar malam kat Msia tu.

And for dessert, I made jam meringue tart. On Saturday night, I tengok Jamie masak this tart on his ‘30 minutes dinner’ program. So, I pun perasan lah yang I can make it in 30 minutes as well. But dia guna ready made tart shells, I pulak baru terhegeh2 nak keluarkan shortcrust pastry dari freezer and nak tunggu dia thaw and then nak cut it…..

But sempatlah jugak siap before berbuka, hahahaha…

tahun ni mmg mcm lemah longlai sket.. x tau kenapa..
tapi yg penting...i dah settle 1 1/2 balang kuih siput utk raya...1 balang for my mom.. yg 1/2 tu utk kitorang sendiri.. muahahahah..

Aunty LG,
Kalau hidangkan meringue tart tu pun ok dah. Mama kita pernah buat kuih makmur pakai cashew nut, sedap juga. Yang penting is the ghee laden pastry and icing sugar coating tu. purrrr *giggles*

wah...kat sana pun ada biskut tunjuk2? okla tu...this yr ayu xtau nak buat biskut apa.rasa mcm dah suntuk sbb ayu klu buat kukis ni time blk muar je.ni 20hb baru blk.dah tu 1 mlm je.hrp2 dptla buat 1-2 jenis utk ayu n mak.

hm...meringue tart tu nmpk yummy la.but ekceli keropok lekor tu nmpk lg sedap dr tart tu.masa tgk pic...mati2 ayu ingat akak buat s'diri.rupanya...:D

ish memang kena ada push button la if nak buat kuih raya. i tengah buat mine now sebabnya tgh tak puasa..hahaha rajin la buat kuih raya, cuba masa puasa, jgn harap i nak buat kuih raya..kuih iftar pun kadang2 tk larat n buat :D

Sejak hubby kak Zai kerja kat ganu dia selalu bawa balik keropok lekor.

Kat sana pun ada biskut tunjuk2? kalau biskut yang mudah lebih baik buat sendiri kan.

Keropok lekor tu you beli kat perth ke?Can you give me the address of the shop,please?I nak suruh la my hubby beli when he pergi sana.I pun buat sendiri but tak berapa best la...maybe due to the fish yang I guna(mati-mati tak nak mengaku salah sendiri but ikan jugak yang salah...hahaha).You see recipe cakap guna mackeral..but how lar I know mackeral tu ada macam-macam puak..Indian mackeral,Atlantic mackeral and etc etc.Fish yang I kenal is the bawal putih jer...hahaha.And if kat perth ada jual keropok lekor frozen, surely kat Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne pun ada jual jugak kan?Nanti I kerah my hubby pergi cari.Hopefully dapat masuk NZ ..now,that's a problem!!

ada jugak kuih tunjuk2 kat sini tapi rasa mcm tak best pulak I nak order sbb I bukannya kerja 9-5 pun kan. Baik buat sendiri kan :-).

You dah siap buat kuih siput? I rasa itu yg paling leceh nak buat kan and you dah siap dulu so kiranya rajin lah jugak you ni, hehehe

I think if I soak it in ghee and then soak it in icing sugar, no one will care what kind I used in the makmurs kan, hahaha.

memang manis sbb jam dlm tu I letak bnyk lah jugak so memang terasa manis jam aje, hehehe

I can eat kuih makmur 1 balang just on my own :-).

Ayu,
mana boleh kalah dgn orang Msia kan, mestilah ada jugak kuih tunjuk2 kat sini :-). I ni yg tak kerja pun rasa mcm tak sempat and takde masa nak buat kuih, lagilah Ayu yg kerja and ada anak2 kecik, sure tak menang tangan nak buat kan.

Ate,
selalunya orang buat inti kacang tanah, I tak pernah jumpa inti kacang lain. But maybe I will try making it guna almond or cashew.

Cik Pulau,
I pun memang wajib ada tart nenas ni!

Zarin,
Haritu I harap dpt period masa 3 week of fasting so bolehlah I pulun buat kuih raya but apakan daya, first week dah dapat so tu yg malas giler nak start buat kuih ni, hehehe.

tu lah kan tp sbb dah duduk oberseas, terpaksalah ajar anak tekak I accept benda2 yg 2nd grade ni, hehehe.

I pun doa mcm tu jugak or else habislah tak berkuih rumah I raya nanti, hehehe.

Untung lah Kak Zai dpt makan keropok lekor ori yg sedap dr Ganu tu :-). Memang saya rasa pun lagi senang buat biskut sendiri dr order2 ni :-)

When is your hubby coming to Perth? I can buy them for you if you want and pass it to him. I bought it at Oriental Cash & Carry. U3 / 180 Bannister Rd, Canning Vale WA. But I think a few of the chinese shops here sell this as well.
I pun tak tau the fishes' names here. I think kembung is indian mackerel which is the fish that they use in making keropok lekor. I used canned mackerel in oil so memang rasa dia so different than the original keropok lekor lah, hehehe.
Is it easy to bawak masuk food into NZ or as difficult as OZ here?

Thank you so much for the info and also for the offer.That is very nice of you.For the time being, his schedule tak da pulak to Perth but maybe in his next roster,he'll be flying there.I'll let you know if my hubby tak dapat cari..hehehe although I am sure he'll try his hardest sebab he pun suka makan jugak this keropok lekor.It is very difficult to bring foodstuff into NZ but so far I berjaya bawak ikan sepat masin and all our favourite harta-karun.I memang nak bawak frozen keropok lekor berkilo-kilo and also frozen otak-otak but hubby told me not to chance it when we are bringing in other contra-bands..lol.However, honey and other plants or plant based product is a no-no.Thanks again,LG.I really appreciate it:)

No worries! :-). I slalu pergi chinese grocery shops ni and tak jauh from my house but do let me know at least a week before he's coming here so I can scout around for it :-).
I tau my friend masa balik Msia haritu bought so many of this frozen keropok lekor and brought them back into OZ. And the custom let them through because it's cooked fish and fish boleh lepas :-).

Ada :-). Yang I tau, kat Masjid Rivervale every Sunday start dr pukul 12.30-3 mcm tu. But by 2.30 slalunya dah habis. Dia ada jual mcm2, from makanan berat to kuih muih. Jom lah datang, boleh jumpa I kat situ nanti :-).
