Yang ini definitely bukan seringgit!

Semalam I dah buat nasi lemak seringgit, malam ni kita makan ‘mahal’ sikit lah pulak. Kalau kat sini, nasi lemak tu lagi mahal kot dari tonite’s dinner tapi kalau kat Asia, probably nasi lemak lagi murah ;-).

Tiap2 hari I akan tanya The Other Half “what’s for dinner?”. And we all pun akan fikir balik apa yang we’ve had for the past few days so tak lah repeat the same dinner. Nasib baik ada blog, so lagi senang lah nak ingat kan :-).

Malam ni is mince turn again. I like mince sebab banyak you can do with mince ni. I selalu surf the net nak cari idea untuk masak mince. Idea memang datang berlambak2 tapi……. mood malas tu selalu sangat berdiri di sebelah! So, walaupun idea datang berlambak2, kalau takde orang yang nak masak, tak kan jadi jugak ye tak! Tu yang menu mince we all (kalau you all perasan) selalunya will revolve around spag bol, burger, nachos or meatballs. Balik2 itu aje kan, hikhikhikhik…. Padahal berlambak2 recipe mince dalam recipe books I tu. From quite difficult ones to easy ones. Harapkan recipe books aje berlambak2, tapi hampeh tak di cuba, tak guna jugak kan, hahahahaha….. I’m talking about myself here tau, jangan pulak ada orang terasa.

But one thing I like about making meatballs form mince ni kan, you can try so many different recipes for meatballs and all of them will taste slightly different. And my meatball recipes pun selalunya main campak2 aje, depends on what taste I feel like obtaining. I don’t have a set meatball recipe.

Like tonite for example, I berkenan kat this recipe called swedish meatballs. All the people who commented on the recipe said that it tasted a bit like IKEA meatballs. I don’t have a clue how IKEA meatballs taste like sebab I tak pernah makan, hehehe.

But seperti biasa, I menconteng arang ke muka recipe tu and changed it to my liking :-). And then we had it with mashed potato instead of fries. Sedap jugak to our tekak ni! Hahahahaha…

kalau banding kan dengan IKEA nya meatballs, I rasa I punya ni batch yang tergeseng sebab chef yang memasak nya sibuk bergossip kat tingkap dapur. Memang kena reject lah dek IKEA kan, muahahahahaha….

Ain,
malam ni makan fish n chips n salad aje. Malas nak buat lebih2 :-)

Jaja,
Mashed potato I takde recipe. Masa mash kentang tu panas2, I letak butter, susu n salt n pepper aje.
Gravy pulaknya I jarang buat but kat MyResipi website ada recipe gravy KFC tu and dah ramai yg cuba kata sedap :-)

NenekPenne,
Nasib baik lah my family tak tau mcm mana rasa IKEA meatballs tu so they can't compare lah kan, hehehe

Raino,
Sebab kan dek hari2 kena masak tu lah yg menu tak boleh sama :-). Kalau seminggu sekali masak and menu sama, orang tak perasan, hehehe

Kak Azie,
gossip kat phone aje sekarang ni, tak main lah tingkap2 dapur kan, hahahaha....

SJB,
kalau kat rumah ni makan pasta every day, I nanti yang go on strike! hehehe

Kak Zai,
We all pernah makan kek Daim dia tapi meatballs dia kat sini tak halal, tu yg tak boleh makan :-(. Bila balik M'sia, tak pernha sempat nak pergi IKEA tu! hehehe
Bestnya ada orang nak belanja :-D

Kak Watie,
Tak teringin ke nak makan meatballs IKEA tu bila Akak pergi IKEA? SHopping lagi best ye dari duduk makan kat situ? hehehe

m4ruk0,
I tak tertelan kot makan meatballs ni utk breakfast, hahahaha

Mermed,
Kat sini pun ada Corelle and I tgh tunggu stocktake sale 2 minggu lagi :-).

Hi LG,
You can actually make a lot of different dishes even with meatballs. From Spaghetti & Meatball, to Italian Wedding Soup, or it's Indonesian counterpart Bakso, to Indian Kofta, to Italian American Meatball Hoagies (Sub sandwich).

I memang full of idea :-)

Other things you can definitely try are taco, burrito, or quesadilla, since you guys are familiar with the flavor because you make nachos a lot.

I pulak dah lama tak beli ground meat, though the desire to eat those food is there :-P

T,
