Activities at the farm

We didn’t do much sebab tak nak lah jam packed it with activities sampai nak pengsan kan. Baik tak payah pergi holidays macam tu, hehehe.

But The Little Misses spent a lot of time playing with the goat Open-mouthed smile.

For us, holidays mean doing something different but having a lot of relaxing time at the same time i.e. just lounging around reading books and spending time with each other Smile.

Before I forgot, this is the name of the farm that we went to..

IMG_1177

Boronia is a group of flowering plants found in Australia so memang true blue Aussie farm lah eh Winking smile.

The first day at the farm, we spent it going for a short walk to the dam and going on a boat.

Not a big boat mind you, cuma a small row boat and a canoe aje. But we had so much fun rowing and canoeing. Dapat lah jugak The Little Misses merasa nak go row row row your boat kan.

First they tried the row boat…

IMG_1033

IMG_1059

They managed to stay upright the whole time, takde sape tergolek masuk dalam dam..hahahaha.

Then they tried the canoe…

IMG_1069

IMG_1071

I pun ber canoeing jugak just me and The Other Half going around the dam but takde sape nak ambik gambar masa tu. Or else, sure nampak romantis sugguh kan we all berdua sitting in a canoe, hehehehe….

Pastu bila dah penat bercanoeing, sambung balik main dgn the animals..

The next day, lepas bagi makan the animals, we went for a longer walk and just stayed at the farm mucking around the house and relaxing.

Puteri puteri ayu menunggu our prince charmings sambil main buaian, hahahaha….

IMG_1105

Mak puteri2 ayu pun nak gak merasa naik buai weh!

IMG_1125

We brought along a bike so the little misses could ride around the farm but they rather walked and ran and skipped instead Open-mouthed smile.

IMG_1140

Masa ni dah nak sunset so The Other Half’s making sure the wood-fire heater is well stocked. It kept us so warm masa berehat2 in the lounge room.

IMG_1162

Kat sini, pokok buah yang pakai kelambu, not the people Smile.

IMG_0957

IMG_0960

Berlambak2 apples bergelimpangan on the ground. Kalau my Mak and Abah nampak ni, sure diaorang kata, “alahai, sayangnya, buah cantik2 and mahal2 dibiarkan jatuh. Kenapa takde sape nak kutip ye.” Open-mouthed smile.

Buah apple gugur atas tanah bergelimpangan ni samalah macam buah rambutan gugur bergelimpangan atas tanah masa tgh musim kat Msia kan, tak larat nak kuitp, hahahahaha….

And to cap off the entry tonite…

A special photo…… (siap dengan model tajaan lagi).

IMG_1171

This is the toilet at the house at the farm. It is an outside dunny!

OMG!!!!!!!

Nasib baik lah our house tu secluded giler, surrounded by forest at the back so memang takde sape can see us. But let’s just say, only The Other Half aje yang berani pergi toilet tengah2 malam buta.

Memang lah forest kat sini takde tiger nor elephant nor serigala jadian but forest kat sini ada possums, kangaroos, emus and all the other nocturnal marsupials!

Lagi lah I tak berani nak jumpa diaorang while sitting on the toilet tengah2 malam buta. Adalah nanti yang menjerit mengalahkan pontianak, hikhihkik…

Thus, the rest of us just crossed our legs and waited for morning to come really really quickly, muahahahahaha…..

June,
holidays ni memang always nmpk so seronok kan :-)

Shidah,
Next time airasia buat sale, make sure you click the perth button tau! :-).
Masa I kecik2 dulu pun rumah arwah atuk n nenek I ada outside toilet, takut giler I nak pergi masuk even masa siang hari, hahaha.

Shiera,
Itu sure kuarters tentera yg old style kan :-)

Pendragon,
Memang sungguh damai and tenang aje diselang seli dgn suara kita orang gelak sakan and menjerit2 ;-). Tu yg we all tak sabar nak pergi again.

Maya,
Nasib baik lah I tak terasa langsung nak pergi toilet masa tgh2 malam tu or else mmng akan kejut hubby suruh teman and sure akan kena marah sbb penakut, hahaha.

Asilah,
Budak2 memang suka holidays yg mcm ni sbb lain dr our normal everyday life kan :-).
Rumah yr Atuk still ada outside toilet lagi skrg ni?

blu4sky,
Poor you :-(. Hope you can take a short break soon to rejuvenate and refresh your mind and soul.

Mama Lubna,
Kalau kat Msia, kena buat atas bukit or atas gunung baru best sikit sbb sejuk and nyaman aje farm tu kan :-).

Danial,
Betul ckp you, I am not scared of all the 'makhluk halus' here but I was scared of all the small critters that came out in the night looking for food.
I think my heart will stop beating if a possum suddenly enters the toilet while I'm on it, hahahha.

Syahira,
It's good once in a while to get to know nature kan :-)

Aida,
Bila malam, memang we all buang everything semua puas2 before masuk tidur, hahahaha.
Luckily it only got really cold towards the morning so bolehlah crossed our legs while waiting for the right time to wake up, hikhikhik.

Ayu,
budak2 ni pun dah berangan2 nak menetap kat farm yg terperuk mcm tu. I pun no hal gak cuma mesti ada internet connection lah, kalau tak, sure mati kutu I, hahaha. But klu ada farm besar tu, sure tak menang tangan nak jaga kan!

lemongrass said...

Renny,
memang betul tu, apple kat sini sama mcm rambutan kat sana :-).
Kalau nak rasa wood-fire heater tu kena lah dtg masa musim sejuk :-).

Australia memang banyak farm-farm (ala-ala zoo) cam gini ke? In 2005, kami satu famili gi Gold Coast. Father in law beria la nak gi animal farm so pegi la. Tp masa tu mana ada cucu ramai cuma my eldest son sorang je (dia pun tak sampai setahun lg). So takde la enjoy sgt. Excited time tengok Aussie's native animals je hihi.

Syikin,
Alya skrg memang a few centimetres lagi dah nak sama tinggi dgn I. Kejap lagi dia dah boleh bertukar2 baju dgn I lah sbb badan sama aje saiz, hehehe

Tinie,
Salam. Memamng seronok experience farm stay ni, lain dr yg lain lah. And first time jugak my kids rasa toilet kat luar rumah, hahaha.

Shereen,
Hahahaha... I think Boronia ni a bit unique because of its outside dunny. Luckily lah it's Winter time so most of that 'giant cacing' tgh hibernating or else I pun akan scream like mad if I were to see 1.

Ayu,
Kalau ada sawah kat Msia tu yg kat atas2 bukit kan best, sure lagi lah nyaman bila sejuk2 kan :-)

Angelina Cat,
Brad nak balik OZ or you yg nak balik OZ? hehehe. Mana sama Ganu and Sydney tu, jauh beza, hahaha. Saje je bagi you lagi sedih :-P

Kak Yan,
Sekali sekala masa cuti sekolah ni aje yg boleh bergumbira sakan bercuti :-)

Unaizah,
I think sbb they know that it attracts families to come and stay, tu yg they have all the cute animals in a lot of farms :-).

PUTUBAMBU said...

uishhh...!! harus putu tak pergi toilet tu kalau malam2...

Aiseyman..tengok buat epal tu teringat time dulu2 kala..bila nak buat apple pie..pi je petik belakang rumah..nostalgia betul la..

Part toilet tu mengingatkan dirini masa pi kenduri rumah member. Overnite malam, dah laa toilet jauh..bila pi toilet dia, pusing2 nak flush takde mana? Atas kepala pun takde, kiri kanan takde..rupanya tandas curah!! Sib baik project kecil..
