While eating dinner tadi, The Other Half turned to me and said…
“After nearly 16 years of marriage and 2 kids, you have finally managed to cook really really yummy mee goreng.”
I looked at him and just burst out laughing .
Memang betul apa yang dia kata tu. I and mee goreng tak berapa ngam sangat even though I love mee to pieces. I think my problem might be that I tend to overcomplicate the mee goreng by putting to many different flavours kot until it got a bit too ‘crowded’. hehehe.
Malam ni I masak mee goreng mamak which I blamed on Zarin sebab menayang her mee goreng mamak the other day which was so enticing, hahahaha….
And I pun thought to myself, if she could do it siap with cucur and ayam goreng, so could I kan!
So that’s what I masak tadi, mee goreng mamak lengkap dengan jemput2 udang (which are not Yellow in colour ye Kak Emily!) and ayam goreng. I used Tulip77’s recipe but I added kicap masin and more tomato sauce and made it kering.
And then it dawned on me suddenly…..
No wonder lah The Other Half makan beria2 mee goreng mamak tu, dia kan Mamak celup! Anything related to mamak food, of course lah dia akan makan beria2, hahahahaha……
We didn’t have any lime so I just used lime juice aje to flavour it masa nak makan tadi.
The cili jeruk definitely makes mee goreng bertambahlah sedapnya kan! The Other Half sekarang ni pun memang akan mintak cili jeruk kalau makan mee goreng.
I think lepas ni kalau I tell him yang I nak masak mee goreng, sure nya lah dia akan mintak mee goreng mamak forever and ever, hahahaha….
Meh kita tengok muka Mat Saleh celup tu (and his family of course, hehehe) yang di ambik masa on the way back from the farm stay at a place called Pelican Point.
Rumah around this area cantik2 banget and mansion sizes and siap ada their own small jetty for their big boats macam kat Mandurah tu.
