We are back with some photos

We are back from the farm stay, tired but much happier Smile.

3 loads of washing done and 3 more to go tomorrow.(why so much washing? Because we had to take our own bed linen and towels to the farm and you have no idea how muddy life at a farm can be especially after a rain! hahaha).

Alhamdulillah, the weather wasn’t too bad. It rained heavily on Friday morning to noon aje but cleared up around 2 o’clock and stayed sunny the whole time we were there which was really good.

We love our stay at the farm and we are already thinking of going there again next year. The Other Half siap dah merancang nak book that place again soon but for a longer stay next time. Such a peaceful and serene place far from the hustle and bustle of city life (Muahaha…macam lah Perth ni busy giler kan Smile with tongue out).

Padahal cuma 220kms aje from our house ni but it felt like we were in a different country Winking smile. Dah lah our mobile phone takde reception kat situ so memang completely cut off from anything lah.

There was only the farmers(husband and wife) and then us on that farm so we could do whatever we want, no one else to disturb us and ruining our holidays.

The farmer left us alone to do whatever we want. We had long walks (The Other Half and I went for a long walk just the 2 of us while The Little Misses were left at the farm playing with the goat), helped the farmer fed the animals,  eating scrambled eggs for breakfast from freshly-laid eggs collected by Miss 7, played with the animals, went boating on the dam, spent the nights inside playing Scattergories and just lounging and reading in front of the wood-fire heater.

Pure bliss! Thumbs up

The Little Misses were so excited dapat berkenalan dengan banyak binatang and they especially love the goat. Siap dah berangan2 nak pelihara goat when they grow up, hehehe. Pastu Miss 7 lagi lah, siap nak ada a goat farm!

And then siap suruh I tanya Nenek and Atuk, kenapa tak nak keep a goat as a pet kat belakang rumah diaorang kat Ijok tu Smile.

I’ll put up a few photos tonight as a teaser ye Winking smile. Esok I’ll put up some more.

Our ‘home sweet home’ with the smoke coming out of the chimney. So rustic kan, hehehe.

View from the house in the morning. It was freezing in the mornings with frost on the ground!

This was our farm attire, gumboots all the way Smile.

His job was to chop the firewood for the heater, kalau The Other Half tak chop firewood, beku lah we all kat dalam rumah tu, hahaha.

Under the willow tree with our gumboots perasan macam a real farmer and his family, hikhikhik….

Later I’ll tayang our photos with the animals pulak ye!

Gum boots tu similar to Wellington boots, kan? aka Rain boots?
Kat Australia orang pakai for farming, kat sini the ladies pakai pergi kerja during rainy season (fall/spring). hehehehe. yang sopan akan tukar kasut kerja bila sampai office, tapi ada jer yang pakai all day selagi tak kena tegur.

That farm looks so aman damai; takde manusia. Did Miss 7 skip a lot while she was there? It looks like a nice place to skip around into oblivion :-)

bestnye pi farm..sure aman damai....hehe..besela kat sini nak pi holiday siap masak segala bagi or hangkut gula beras minyak garam sume utk masak sendiri kat sana...tp penat masak x dpt nak enjoy holiday plak...masak awal2 lg senang kan....huhu mmg sejuk siap frost grrrrrr...tatahan sejuksss

Danial,
We just went online searching for farm stay down south in WA and found this farm. The price was reasonable and the review good so we booked it :-).

Zul,
Memang mcm Tassie kan esp part sejuk and wood-fire tu, hehehe.

Pendragon,
When we called the farmers to confirm our booking, diaorang awal2 dah suggest suruh bawak gumboots utk pakai around the farm. Memang patut pun pakai the gumboots sbb sgt2 lah muddy nya that area, hehehe.

Rima,
Muahahaha...I think your sister's gumboots tu sure mahal berkali2 compared to our gumboots, tu yg pakai everytime :-).

Shiera,
Farm ni kat Donnybrook, halfway nak pergi Margaret River down south. We all pun baru first time did farm stay ni and memang seronok :-)

Eja,
Memang seronok sgt2 esp sbb takde orang lain yg nak spoil our holidays dgn gelagat diaorang :-)

Shidah,
Tu lah, I pun dah thought about it for a while yg I tak boleh panggil diaorang the little misses anymore sbb one of them is definitely growing up! :-D

T,
That's right, they are the same but I guess kat sini panggil gumboots, don't know why :-). Kat sini pun people pakai masa heavy rain and some of the gumboots mmng so pretty! But rasanya takde kot yg pakai pergi office, hehehe.
Yes, she skipped a lot! ;-)

Maz,
Tu yg I masak awal2 kat rumah so I tak payah hangkut segala benda gi farm tu. And menyenangkan hidup I jugak sbb I cuma tinggal reheat dlm oven all our food and sambil tu boleh lepak2 :-).

hai kak LG,

this farm really look familiar to me..hehehe tak pernah pergi Aussie pun..tapi macam pernah ditayangkan dlm cerita Korea...

cantik..kira2 macam konsep homestay kat Malaysia lah tu kan farm ini? berapa rate nak tinggal sini ye kak LG?

marinahunny said...

kak LG, miss 12 tu nk sama tinggi dgn mak nye dah..nmpak gaya akan tinggi mcm bapaknye.. :D

Aidah said...

Seronoknya tu. Anak-anaklah yang paling seronok ye. Macam my children, baru-baru ni, tengok sawah pun dah ternganga mulut. Diorang cakap, damai aje hidup di tengah sawah ni.Tapi kat sini, panaslah Min. Kat sana sejuk tentu bertambah nyaman dan damai kan

AI said...

- ade x rase cam citer dulu2 tu - 'little house on the prairie'...

lemongrass said...

Renny,
Hi :-). Wah, cerita Korea pun ada buat kat farm ye? hehehe. Memang pun mcm homestay lah kiranya so dpt lah experience cara hidup the farmers kan :-).
It cost us $140/night.

Marina,
Sebab Mak dia ni kemetot tu yang senang sgt dia nak sama tinggi dgn I. We all ni skrg tgh susah hati tengok Miss 7 yg still kemetot lagi tu, hahaha.

Kak Aidah,
I guess sbb cuaca tgh sejuk masa we all pergi, tu yg seronok aje berlari2 and berjalan keliling farm sbb still nyaman sgt :-).

Al,
hehehe...ada lah sikit2 rasa cuma dapur bukan dapur kayu :-D
