I don’t know what else to say

This is my BMI now=20.22. And from that, you can see that it is still within normal range. I know what is normal and what is abnormal and I am NOT trying to go into the underweight BMI range.

If you have read my previous posts, you will know that I only want to reach a certain weight and I have already reached that weight and I do NOT want to go any lower. I am happy to stay at this weight for a very long time or maybe gain a kilo from muscle mass.

(If you haven’t, please read first before giving your opinion.)

I am not trying to tell people to lose weight or judge people if they are overweight or underweight. I am only concern about our bodies and I am only writing our journey to lose weight and how we do it. If you happened to feel motivated by the way we lose weight and want to emulate, I feel very honoured.

But if you feel threatened by our weight loss, there’s nothing I can do about it. You just have to deal with that feeling yourself. I do not preach for you to lose weight, it’s your choice whatever you want to do.

But, please do NOT presume to tell me that you know what is best for me. We are losing weight the right way, by eating right and by exercising. We are not starving ourselves, we still eat good food at every meal and at snack time and we are feeling fitter from the exercise.

What is wrong in that?

If I happen to look much older after the weight loss, so be it. I know I am old, there’s nothing I can do about it. I am not trying to stop the clock either. But I’m not trying to look like a skeleton either.

We are really happy with the way we are now. We feel lighter, fitter, healthier and happier.

It’s much better to be looking older but happier with our weights than looking young but unhappy with the body weight every single day. Being unhappy not only drags you down, but will drag other people around you down as well.

It’s not fun to be unhappy all the time Smile.

And to show you guys that we do eat, I’ll tayang our dinner tonite.

I made thai green chicken curry (the low fat version) with stir fry veges, rice and keropok microwave Smile.

I sejak dari baru kahwin dulu memang masak poppadom in the microwave but everytime I masak keropok ikan in the microwave, tekak I tak boleh nak telan sebab memang tak sedap langsung.

But since dah malas nak menggoreng2 sekarang ni, terpaksalah masak the keropok in the microwave again. But this time, I just spray it very lightly with olive oil spray and masak in microwave. Baru lah rasa dia a bit better (but still tak sesedap yang di goreng lah).

I seriously dont understand some people, org lose weight pun jeles, gain weight taknak pulak jeles. takpe k.min, i'm with u. except that i'm still stuck with this pinggang kerengga gemuk.. hehe.

saya pun dengki sbnrnya tgk org lose weight, tp salahkan diri sendiri je la sbb tak kurus2 pun sbb takde disiplin. muahahaha. i know someone yg suka kutuk org dok kata nak kurus tp tak kurus2, dia kata org mcm saya ni poyo. but to me yg penting the drive tu sentiasa ada kan... jgn la nak redha je. btw org yg suka kutuk org poyo cam saya tu terlalu redha dgn dirinya yg "sihat" sejak kecil.

demuk might look muda sebab kulit tegang, it might be ok sbb husband kata tak kisah la ling yg penting u sihat. but not exactly attractive bila tgk diri sendiri dlm cermin. tkyah la tunggu org lain ckp pun tau dah.

I'm so used to meratah lauk jadi nasi makan agak2 setengah senduk jer.

My hubby pun mcm tu jugak dulu, tengok orang lain kurus, dia geram aje sbb dia tak kurus, tapi dia tau dia gemuk sbb dia suka makan and bukan salah orang lain, hehehe.
Orang mengutuk ni memang sentiasa ada kat mana2 kan. Bila kita gemuk, dia kutuk, bila kita kurus, dia kutuk jugak kan :-).
I felt that way bila tengok diri kat cermin bila dah tambah a few kilos tu yg rasa tak best aje and berazam nak kurus kan badan :-)

hahahaha...nasi seperiuk tu kalau ada bela 'benda' aje baru kita dpt habiskan :-P.
I pun menyampah buat exercise ni, but since hubby still motivated, I terpaksalah join dia every wknd,hehehe

akak kan kalau makan nasi mmg tak boleh lose weight..sekarang ni tempoh 2 minggu dah berlalu dan dah pun hilang 5 kg.ala tak makan nasi 2 mggu je min..pastu dah boleh makan balik.
mula2 hari tu rasa cam nak fengsan tak dpt nasi.akak curi2 gak makan tapi mmg tak boleh bla betul la..sbb akak naik hampir 20 kg dari berat badan ideal.susah nak diet tanpa exercise(org pemalas)
alhamdulillah after 2 wks,perut ni automatic tak boleh terima makanan berat so kitaorang continue jer diet yg sedia ada..bila dah ringan senang je hati nak exercise kan?
mmg bersemangat bila dah turun kg ni kan..pedulikan apa yg org ckp..yg penting kita rasa ringan dan sehat.

I pun kan rasa menyampah nak exercise ni sebenarnya tp bila nampak hubby I getting ready nak naik basikal gi kerja, I pun rasa teruja nak naik elliptical tu pagi2, hahaha. Tu yg I slalu exercise pagi2 buta sbb kalau dah tengah hari, memang I takkan buatnya :-)

clap6X. Bestnya dah kurang 5kg :-). Sure senyum memanjang aje kan sekarang ni.
Tapi memang betul pun, bila dah biasa makan sikit, perut tu memang tak boleh terima kalau kita sogok mcm2.
And bila dah rasa ringan, baru mood kita pun naik aje kan :-)

kak LG tentu tahu yang terbaik untuk diri kak. Bahkan kalu kurangkan berat badan, buat badan kita 'more healthy'. Banyak penyakit terhindar. Lagipun, kak cuma nak cecah BMI ideal. Mungkin yang komen macam tu, kurang info tentang kelebihan berdiet, hehe..

Sian nya niat you baik nak share ilmu menguruskan badan tapi ada orang dengki. If dengki in good way nak kuruskan badan takpe la jugak, ini dengki sebab penuh hati hasat dengki.
Mungkin orang tak tahu yang nak maintain berat badan adalah susah jugak.
Abaikan jelah orang yang dengki dan berniat jahat itu.

Ada orang ingat I nak 'preach' lebih2 supaya semua orang lose weight and jadi kurus mcm skeleton tu sbb dia tak baca all my entries kan. Tu yg diaorang 'nasihat' ke I, hehehe.....

Tu lah kan, nyamuk2 ni ingat I suruh orang starving baru boleh kurus. Padahal I still suruh orang makan and jgn miss meals lagi tu. Nyamuk ni kdg allergic sikit kat bloggers ni :-)

My parents haritu datang bawak berkilo2 keropok and ikan bilis jugak sampai penuh our 2nd fridge, hehehe.
You just spray sikit on the keropok, then letak paper towel on the microwave plate. Pastu setting dia high and selalunya will take about 20-30 seconds for 4 keropok utk masak sekali gus.

Congrats sbb dah lose weight, walaupun perlahan2. Lose weight perlahan2 ni much better actually sebab you tak terasa yang you are on a strict 'diet and exercise' regime and your body senang nak adapt. Sikit2 lama2 jadi bukit kan :-). Bulan 6 nanti, sure dah berkilo2 weight you lose :-).
Nanti I tayang the olive oil spray ye :-).

agaknya orang tu tergugat sbb bila we all dah start berdiet, there's 2 less fat persons in the world so takdelah yang nak ber gang dgn dia, hahaha.
Instead of nak join we all, dia suruh we all stop pulak, apalah kan, hehehe.

we have chocolates too every nite, tapi makan dark choc and only 1 small piece aje.
And we cannot live without coffee either so memang 1-2 mugs a day but all within our calories allowance lah, hehehe.

salam LG, actually I pun dalam process utk mengurangkan berat badan and bukan utk kurus and I've been religiously pergi gym 5 days a week for the past 2 months and the result was that I dah berjaya kecikkan certain parts of my body and also loose some weight...:) which was actually the main reason why I'm doing this. But biasalah banyak sour grapes yg tak happy with what I'm doing so banyaklah kata2 yg tak memberi perangsang but I just dont give a heck to what they are saying sebab this is my body and suka hati I lah nak buat apa pun....betul tak?

You are one of the few people that actually promote healthy and sustainable lifestyle in your weight loss journey. We're proud of you :-)

As the cliche goes, you cannot satisfy everyone. If you're overweight, they'll say you're ugly and unhealthy. If you're underweight, they'll say you have eating disorder. If you have weight-loss operation, they'll say you're cheating. If you lose weight with healthy & yummy food along with exercise, they'll say that cannot be true and you must be taking pills or something. These people just refuse to believe that people can be happy, so they wanna bring others down.

So, forget them. We love your healthy lifestyle story. It's inspiring and uplifting.

Hi. So true what you said. We are trying to promote the right way of losing weight but at the same time we are not trying to preach or tell people off if they don't do it our way.
Heck, it's their bodies and money and health, I don't care what tehy want to do with it. If someone feels inspired by the way we do things, I'm so glad. If they don't, I honestly don't care.

FYI, what you do is wonderful. You're not only improving the quality of your lives but you've inspired others to do the same and find peace. For example, me. I cleaned my garden right after I saw mak cik kebun punya lawn and your vegie patch. Then I registered at MyFitnessPal too. Cuma my pal for life ni, memang malas sikit nak get involved dengan something yang I'm interested in. So, I might have to find a boyfriend to help me losing my weight... ha ha ha.

Anyway, I'm feeling much better now that I know I'm not the nyamuk yang menggigit you. Keep inspiring. Mana tahukan, kot kot one day you'll write motivational books macam Louise Hay tu dan founded Tilling House pulak... he he he.

I selalunya akan start geram if 3-4 kali they say the same thing even after I've explained to them the reason.Macam diaorang tak terima my explanation and diaorang aje yg betul, hehehe.
Pastu, I akan buat derk aje lah kat diaorang, hahaha.

Nora,
I geram a few days before semalam dah but I just buat tak reti aje. Pastu, they still say the same thing, tu yang I tulis tu. But I think orang2 mcm tu sure tak kan terasa because for them, diaorang aje betul, hehehe.

i would like to add to your statement "siapa kata makan nasik pun tak boleh lose weight"..
i find the statement true based on experience, when i was pregnant they suspcted me having diabetes. Reason be was because baby was big, scanned to be around 4 kilos over tapi keluar hanya la 3.49 kilos (they as in the doctors kat NSW ni yang tak nak dengar langsung org explain- apa ingat org Asia ni bodo sgt ke!).
so they put me under diabetes-watch programe whereby i have to test my glucose level and self-administerd insulin 2 times a day.
i found that after having rice mu glucose level is only 4.5 at timmes it plummeted to 3.9 with insulin (kalau witout insulin my glucose level is only 4)
BUT, when i took 2 piece of white bread with cheese my glucose level can go up to 6.9 the highest.. experimented with rice again and the reading was still low as compared to taking bread..
so from that day i dont skip my rice anymore.. just to share
