The conversation aka membebel I had with the girls earlier…
Me: Girls! who’s been using so many blue cups to drink today?
Miss 13: I’ve only been using the green cup today.
Miss 9: I’ve only been using 1 blue cup today.
Me: How come there’s 3 blue cups here?
The Other Half: not me!
Miss 9: Not me either!
Me: (in a sarcastic tone) It’s probably the invisible kid we have hanging aroudn the house that’s been using all these cups eh Dear!
Boleh pulak lepas tu Miss 9 menjawab: Probably you are right!
The Other Half dengan I tak tau whether nak gelak or nak geleng kepala that she thinks its normal to have an invisible kid in the house .
Or maybe she didn’t hear me correctly and just wanted to agree with me so I tak membebel lagi….
Or maybe I shouldn’t do sarcasm with kids because they will not understand?
Nasib baik lah when school starts in 2 days time, this invisible kid will also go to school sebab takde pulak cawan bersepah2 kat rumah during school time!
The other day I bough some mutton at the butcher.
Kalau dulu masa I baru belajar English, mutton means meat from goat.
And bila orang sebut mutton aje, terus tak larat nak makan because of the smell.
bau kambing mah…..takda mandi punya…. hehehe
But here in OZ (or I guess any English speaking country), mutton means meat that comes from sheep that are more than 2 years old.
Lamb pulak is the meat that comes from ‘baby’ sheep or sheep that is less than a year old.
And hogget pulak is the meat that comes from sheep older than 1 year old but less than 2 years old.
So very confusing kan! hehehehe
Anywayyyy….The Other half kata he loves mutton but I think baru sekali dua aje kot I beli mutton ni sepanjang2 we all kahwin yang dah nak dekat2 2 abad ni.. memang bukan isteri mithali sungguh, hahaha.
Sebab kan the mutton meat is slightly tougher than lamb and more ‘berperisa’ than lamb, I pun guna the meat to masak mutton vindaloo secara slow cook in the oven.
I guna vindaloo paste ready made so tinggal diced up the mutton and seared the meat until brown.
Tuang the vindaloo paste onto the meat and cover the pot and terus masuk oven at 140C.
Masak lah sehingga dia betul2 lembut. I masak for about 3+ hours.
So easy peasy one!
Makan dengan nasi briyani sangat sempoi, ayam goreng berempah, sayur goreng and poppadom.
Memang takde bau2an yang luar biasa.
Sedap gilers bila dibuat kari!
Memang definitely boleh beli lagi untuk buat masak kari masa raya haji, hehehehehe…..
