Our daily sms

My sms to and from The Other Half tadi..

What do you want for dinner? Massaman beef curry or indian style curry? Or something else not curry?

Prefer indian or thai red cury.”

Massaman is red style I think. Or rogan josh if you want indian style.

prefer rogan josh. Love you.”

Everyday, mesti ada sms bau2 food macam ni or phone conversation macam ni between us (except when he wont be home for dinner that night lah).

what an ‘interesting’ life we both have kan, hehehehe….

It is much easier to figure out what to cook for dinner when 2 people are thinking about it.

Since he’s agreed on rogan josh for dinner, sonang I tadi tinggal beli the rogan josh paste and yoghurt.

The beef rogan josh using ready-made rogan josh paste.

Rogan josh ni slalunya guna lamb but since I cuma ada beef aje tadi, gunalah beef. Even though it looks so red and pedas-like, sikit pun tak pedas tadi, hahahaha.

(Patut I letak a bit of my home-grown chilli kan, baru lah berjujuran air mata bila makan, heeee….).

And then makan pulak dengan coriander and cardamom pilaf using this recipe. (I added frozen peas at the end of the cooking and I also reduced the amount of cinnamon).

Plus cucumber raita and poppadum as sides, memang sedap sangat2 lah tadi…

Rupa my plate towards the end of the meal….

I guess I am a messy eater eh Winking smile. Tapi tak lah sampai jatuh2 kat atas placemat and kat atas lantai the food. Still sopan lagi part tu, hahaha.

Sometimes I prefer to use fork n spoon to eat rice and curry, other times lagi best guna jari jemari Open-mouthed smile.

I love the combination of fresh coriander leaves and the crunchy cashew nuts in the pilaf.

MsMitchie,
I yg slalu terforget the 'i love you' part, hehehe.

Anash,
bila dah lama kahwin, the sms semua jenis yg practical aje. Takde sms yg lovey dovey withmadah2 cinta tak larat, hahaha

Noir,
When we get to a certain 'mature' age, practicality seems to rule eh, hehehe.

Kak kasih,
The secret is that, I cuma tau masak the things that my family likes. Kalau dia tiba2 mintak masak lain dari yg lain, susah jugak lah I nak tunaikan, hehehe

SOHO Mama,
I guess when you live in a country where eating out is quite expensive and also not that easy to find halal food everywhere, terpaksalah kena hari2 masak, heeee

Kak Watie,
Wassalam. Memang betul kan, ini salah satu cara nak 'ikat' dia, hehehe. Buat dia sentiasa terkenang rumah and family ;-).

Hani Syahida,
sedap ikut our citarasa, tak tau lah kalau orang lain makan rasa tak sedap, hehehe

SufatihaNur,
jeles part mana? hehehe

Rozita,
Kalau we all duduk Msia, maybe I tak masak hari2 mcm kat sini. Sebab lagi senang nak cari makan kat luar kat Msia tu kan.

Blu4sky,
Thank you :-D. But the kids still kalau boleh nak makan kat luar everyday if we permit them. For them, makan kat luar sangat2 lah sedapnya banding dgn what I cook, hehehe.

JieJ,
I tak sweet, hubby I yg sweet, hehehe.

Riri,
:-)

knv,
I letak sliced cucumber, a bit of frsh mint leaves, diced garlic, greek yoghurt, a bit of cumin powder, a splash of lemon juice and salt :-).

pB,
Occasional curry memang marveles :-)

klynn,
tu lah yg kadang2 I tak larat, asik2 nak kari. But kdg2 I pun suka jugak kari ni, hehehe.

penDragon,
hikhikhik...dah hari2 I kena 'bergelumang' dgn food and setiap petang bila dia sampai rumah, disambut dgn bau masakan at the gate so I guess mmng food plays a very important role :-).
