Today was the last day of school for The Little Misses.
They will be having nearly 3 weeks of school holidays.
Yippeeee for them, not yippee for Mum!
Tomorrow is Good Friday which is the start of the long Easter holidays.
So, jalan raya tadi pun dah start sesak padat with cars heading off to their holiday destinations and drivers starting to get cranky behind the wheels.
Masa I ambik The Little Misses from school at 3 tadi pun, memang dah start sesak jugak which made me really want to go home quickly and lock the car in the garage and not go out until the Easter holiday is over.
Kalau nak pergi mana2, just naik basikal aje, senang, hehehe….
The police will also be all out this long weekend with their speed guns and radars and their fine books and double demerit’ing all the traffic offencers.
So, tu yang lagi baik duduk rumah senyap2 layan movies or the gardens kan, more relaxing than having to be on the road.
Malam ni I masak nasi again, sebab ada a friend nak datang for dinner.
(The Other Half wasn’t home for dinner, tu yang boleh masak nasi without kari tonite, hehehe.)
I made nasi ayam penyet sebab this friend dah lama tak makan sambal belacan so buatlah nasi ayam penyet guna recipe Ijan yang sangat lah marvellous ini.
Tak kuasa I nak penyetkan ayamnya, I just potong ayam tu awal2 and then just perap with the marinade and goreng.
(Since oven besar tak boleh nak guna lagi kan, and oven kecik tak muat nak bakar all the pieces, terpaksalah I goreng the ayam…)
I guna 15 biji cili api and about 5 biji cili merah (yang pedas giler tu) in the sambal tomato belacan but tadi bila we all makan, tak rasa pedas menyengat yang sampai berjujuran air mata and air hidung..
It was just nice, pedas but we could still eat a lot of it. Tu yang sambil tambah sambal, tambah nasi sekali…
Oh, the pegaga tu comes from our back garden. Seronok sgt dpt makan pegaga in Perth ni!
I have definitely over eaten tonite!!!!!!!!!
We didn’t just eat the nasi ayam penyet with the tahu and keropok, we also ate sardine rolls and kuih ketayap.
And then I made trifle as well but both of us were too stuff to eat the trifle, hehehe.
But that’s ok, we have 2 magic things in this house to help me feel better when I know I have over eaten.
