It’s the long weekend here in WA.
Monday ni cuti Labour Day, tapi cuma in WA. States lain cuti Labour Day on a different date.
Semua orang suka kalau long weekend kan, boleh sleep later at nite and boleh sleep in in the morning .
But pagi tadi I tak sleep in sangat2 sebab I wanted to make scones and strawberry compote for breakfast.
I only make lemonade and cream scones sebab they are the easiest.
No rubbing butter into flour or whatnots.
But these scones are a bit crumbly compared to the usual butter scones but I love my scones this way.
And the strawberry compote is basically fresh strawberries cooked in a bit of sugar until they’ve softened and become syrupy.
But lepas makan scones, kenalah exercise kan so all of us went for a bike ride to the local mall.
I suka sebenarnya naik basikal pergi the shops ni….
So, tak boleh lah I or The Other half terpesong menghabiskan duit beli benda berat2 sebab tak boleh nak bawak naik beskal kan…
(tapi kalau setakat nak beli cincin dua tiga carats ok aje, hahahahaha…..).
At the start of the journey…
20 minutes later…. dah sampai the mall and The Other Half and Miss 13 tengah chain the bikes up together.
Ramai jugak yang naik beskal pergi shopping ni sebenarnya….
And then, balik from shopping, rehat2, lunch and more rehat2…
We did some gardening.
I bought this thing a couple of weeks ago but punyalah liat nak transfer the tomato plant into it.
Kat vege patch we all tu adalah about 10 tomato plants that grew from the seeds from the old tomato plants planted there.
Bersepah2 lah kat vege patch tu, tu yang ingat nak tried this method tengok hidup ke tak.
With The Other half’s help, it was ready after 10 minutes.
I think I’ve done a bit of a mistake here. I took the biggest of the tomato plants to transplant into here.
Patutnya ambik seedlings yg kecik lah kan….
Oh well, kalau yang ini tak hidup, ada banyak lagi tomato seedlings kat kebun tu, hehehe….
One of our grape bunches.
Tiap2 hari I dok petik buah grape ni one by one, tu sebab rupa dia macam ni.
The most I can eat at one go is 6-7 grapes aje sebab they are so so sweet. Sangat juicy tapi sangat lah manis nya!
And then for dinner, I made a simple pasta.
Creamy chicken and mushroom fettucine.
I like sundried tomatoes in oil so kalau I buat pasta sempoi mcm ni, I mesti nak letak banyak2, hehehe….
Sebab dah berbeskal pagi tadi kan, tiba2 I malas pulak nak exercise malam ni .

nak tanya, when u bake the scones, is 220 degrees too high? i'm trying them out tomorrow, and read some reviews that 220 degrees is too high. so i thought maybe i should try out at 200 degrees..?
