Our usual Saturday morning activity

Every Saturday morning, The Other Half and I slalunya akan keluar berdua to the shops very early in the morning.

Tinggalkan budak2 berdua kat rumah for an hour or two max.

We think Miss 13 is big enough to be trusted to stay at home to look after herself and her sister.

And everytime, we will say to each other that we should stop for morning coffee at one of the coffee shops.

But everytime, mesti tak jadi.

Not because of lack of time or the shops were too busy…

But because when we look at each other we will both say, “it’s much nicer having coffee at home….

Hikhikhikhik…

Kalau orang lain, maybe diaorang akan cakap we all cheapskate Open-mouthed smile.

But, we have a very good automatic espresso coffee machine at home so why waste money buying coffee at the shop kan.

And the coffee at the shop selalunya tak menepati citarasa I, heeee…

That’s because, I dah terbiasa minum the hazelnut-flavoured coffee yang The Other Half buat every morning so bila minum coffee lain yg takde hazelnut, I rasa tak sedap sangat pulaknya.

And bukannya susah pun nak buat coffee at home, tinggal tekan one button on the machine aje.

It was the same pagi tadi….

I said to The Other Half that we should go out for coffee and then we both look at each other and I said to him, “I love your coffee” and he said to me, “I love your white choc and macadamia muffins”.

So, we ended up having coffee break at home under the shade overlooking the garden….

He made the coffee while I made the muffins.

I made white choc, raspberry and macadamia muffins. I guna recipe ini.

Penuh dengan raspberries, macadamia and white chocs.

We think  this was so much better than having coffee at the coffee shop, hikhikhik….

While Mum and Dad duduk berduaan minum kopi kat luar, the girls were having their own muffin break at the dining table Smile.

And selepas habis bersantai minum kopi, we had fresh fruits pulak.

Straight from the vines!

The Other Half kata it’s much nicer to leave the grape berries on the vines and only pick them as we want to eat them.

Kiranya petik satu, makan satu, petik lagi, makan lagi sampailah kenyang makan anggur, hehehe….

Mama Safiyyah,
Mat Saleh ni tak pandai pakai sarung, so I kena convert the sarung to seluar, hehehe

yuhaisya,
takdenya dia nak pakai kain pelikat tu. Dia kata mcm weirdly berangin aje klu pakai kain pelikat and rasa tak secure aje, hahaha

Amanda,
jgn tertipu, itu bukan sarung :-). Tapi memang best mkn anggur freshly picked tu.

Niza,
Some people will call us cheapskate sbb tak nak keluar minum2 kat luar but we call it jimat duit, hehehe.

Ibu,
Betul tu, tak kisah lah kan having coffee kat mana pun, as long as we spend quality time together :-).

Ummu Madihah,
Salam. sambil minum coffee, sambil boleh borak2 pasal the garden kan :-)

Yazreina,
:-D

NBK,
True! But sometimes a change of scenery is good for the souls :-)

UmmuAidan,
masa weekend aje lah kan yg boleh buat mcm ni. Masa weekdays busy dgn segala2 benda lain, hehehe

Sham,
Waalaikumsalam.
Takde nya hubby I nak pakai kain pelikat tu. I jahit his kain pelikat to seluar, lagi senang dia nak pakai, hehehe

theorangelily,
we are one of the lucky people that our hubbies lagi suka bawak bekal dr makan kat luar. Memang at first rasa leceh sbb kena fikir what to cook for their lunches kan. Tapi I rasa sure colleagues diaorang jeles sbb dpt bwk bekal hari2 :-).
