The art of making fresh pasta ;-)

We love fresh pasta because the taste is so much nicer than the dried ones.

But everytime I make fresh pasta, I have to set my mind mentally to endure the long process of making it.

And having to endure the mistakes I usually make along the way like stacking them together without putting enough flour so they stick like mad!

Aggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!

For me, it is such a tedious process for something you could eat in 10 minutes, hehehehe.

But occasionally, I will forget that the process is tedious and I will take out the flour and the eggs and make fresh pasta…

And then take out the pasta maker and roll them one by one until they become so thin….

The leftover semi-dried pasta sheets.

I turned some of the pasta sheets into ravioli filled with ricotta, spinach and chicken mixture.

This step took a lot of time too! Having to cut the sheets into similar sized squares and then filled them with the mixture.

And then came the boiling part which was the easiest step, hehehe.

By the time I had to boil the ravioli, I was a bit tired already so I just used pasta sauce from the jar as the sauce Open-mouthed smile.

A very simple looking dinner belying the fact that it took a long time to make it, hehehe.

Cooked ravioli topped with pasta sauce and sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese and cracked pepper.

chicken breast cooked with spinach and mixed with ricotta cheese.

In the end, the taste is worth all the troubles, hehehe.

Kadang-kadang nak makan sedap, memang kena gigih lebih sikit. Nak membuatnya sikit punya lama, tapi bila part makan, tak sampai setengah jam semua langsai. hehehehe

K LG seorang yg rajin & tekun. Saya harap saya akan jadi seperti beliau suatu hari nnti....haha...I suka gak masak pasta (sbb rebus pasta & guna sos dlm jar aje kan). Menu ni akan keluar pd hari I nk bermalas2an....

kak min.. part masak yg renyah ni jd berbaloii bila tgok org yg makan punyalah bersungguh sampa bertambah. sambil x henti puji sedap2 ( biasanya anak2 kecik). penat masak hilang terus. :)

Kak Azie,
memang betul tu. Kebanyakan benda2 yg leceh and remeh nak buat and masak ni, itu yg cepat sgt nak makan kan, hehehe

Hahaha...kalau I rajin and tekun, dah lama I buat macarons and kek lapis surabaya and puding pelangi. Tapi sbb I ni banyak malas dr rajin, tu yg buat benda simple2 aje. Pasta ni I buat bila gian dah lama tak guna pasta machine, heeee

memang betul tu tp nak sampai ke end product tu yg kadang2 berjam2 kat dapur sampai penat gilers, hehehe

leftovers boleh aje I nak bagi sbb kat rumah I ni most nights ada leftovers for tapau for lunch esok nya :-).

Anak2 I boleh tolong kat dapur tp kadang2 makin melambatkan process adalah :-).

Makan pasta letak banyak2 cheese and milk boleh increase yr calcium intake :-)

hehehe...memang lah sedap but I kdg2 rasa mcm tak berbaloi pulak spend so much time kat kitchen utk buat pasta aje :-). Alasan orang pemalas, hehehe.

Buat pasta ni tak susah mana, cuma leceh sbb kena roll the dough sampai nipis, pastu kena make sure tak melekat2. Tak serumit buat nasi briyani and lauk pauk dia lah kan, hehehe

kat rumah saya ni pun every week guna pasta beli aje, Occasionally, once a month I terlebih rajin nak buat pasta from scratch, hehehe

Dapur Cik Wan,
sedap lah jugak for our tekak :-)
