I made maki sushi for dinner tonite.
Little dia I realise that it is a chore to eat maki sushi when you have braces on, hehehe.
Kesian Miss 12 tadi, it took her a long time to go through a small piece of sushi because she has to dissect the sushi bit by bit to eat it without having things sticking to her braces.
Last2, she said, “I’m full.”. Padahal, pre-braces days, she could eat a lot of sushi.
Takpe, next time I know just to let her eat the sushi rice in a bowl, scatter the smoked salmon and nori pieces on it.
And this is the young lady who couldn’t eat maki sushi tadi…
She has a school function tonite so tu yang dressed up a bit.
She is definitely much taller than me now so she can wear a lot of my stuff. Luckily lah Mum dia body lebih kurang dia aje kan, wehehehe. Cuma dia ada kureng minat sikit lah dengan the styles and colour yg I like, hahaha.
And this is the sushi that she couldn’t eat.
Next week she’ll have her lower braces put on so makin susah lah dia nak makan macam2 lepas ni kan.
And while her sister was gone, Miss 8 and I did a school ‘project’ together.
This Thursday and Friday, they are celebrating Harmony Day at school and the theme this year is ‘sports’.
So, they are asked to bring along flags or sport trophies of their chosen countries or pom poms representing the colours of the flags from that country.
Since, she’s half Malaysian and half OZ so we had to make 2 pompoms lah kan.
(I should have made a NZ pompom as well ye tak, but NZ flag lebih kurang OZ nya flag aje so boleh lah dia tukar2 kejap pompom NZ, kejap pompom OZ, hehehehe).
She’s so happy to be doing this. She said, “maybe no one else will have this kind of pompoms Mum!” .
Ini lah rupa the pompoms that we made out of crepe papers. Lagi besar dari yang nak membawaknya tu kan, hikhikhikhik.
The one in her left hand is the M’sian pompom, ke empat2 kaler ada. The one of her right hand is the OZ pompom, same colours like Msian , minus the yellow.
