Lunch box

Semalam pergi melawat ‘rumah’ Shidah, dia cerita about her kids’ lunch boxes. Then I pun baru teringat yang I dah lama jugak tak tunjuk The Little Misses’ lunch boxes yang tiap2 hari I dok prepare for them :-). School dah mula seminggu so memang every night and every morning, 3 lunch boxes have to be packed lah. Hari tu dah cuti sebulan from packing lunch boxes during Ramadhan. Sekarang kena lah start balik…

I love making their lunch boxes during Spring and Summer because of the abundance of gorgeous fresh fruits for them to take. Selalunya before their bedtime, I’ll ask The Little Misses (and The Other Half) to pack their lunch boxes with snacks they want to take. And every nite, I’ll cut up the fruits and put them in the fridge so tak lah kelam kabut pagi2 baru nak buat everything. This week, I perasan yang Miss 10 is going through a ‘I’m so hugry, I can eat anything’ phase, maybe sebab she’s storing all this energy for a growth spurt soon kot. Hari tu, I dah bekalkan dia quite a lot of stuff but she was still hungry so dia pergi kecek Miss 6 nya cupcake. Nasib baik lah Miss 6 masa tu was full already so dapatlah dia sedekah kan her cupcake kat Kakak dia yang masih kelaparan, hehehe. Luckily for Miss 10 yang adik dia goes to the same school kan :-). So, for the past 2 days, I’ve been packing more stuff for Miss 10 and she’s been finishing everything so far. Not a single thing left! Which is quite amazing for Miss 10 to do, hahahaha…. Budak kan, tengah membesar :-)….

Anyway, layan lah gambar their lunch box for today. I made them sausages in bread roll. I dapat recipe kat blog Azie but saje nak buat fancy sikit, I pi potong kecik2 and then cucuk kat lidi sate. The Other Half kata, I terlebih rajin, hehehehe. But The Little Misses love it this way sebab senang for them to makan and celup in the tomato sauce. Tak messy I guess. Then I packed them some fruits, chips, sultanas n nuts, jelly and a choc bar since it’s Friday.

Alamak, we are so so late for school and work already. Habis lah. Ciao for now!

Wah kalau anak akak kasi snack bar...pakai tak makan benda lain agaknya...nak nya letak fruits...jenis memilih ni payah juga...in fact...nak bekas kecik aje...beg dah berat...M'sia nya education system...beg sekolah berat...so lunch box yg bulky...is a definite "No"!..Rajin Min...the title did helps....haha baru perasan!

I am so agree with u watierman.if we look at the size of their bags, even the standard 1 kids pun, we'll cringe in horror.Apa je yg 'waji' bawa for that age? give them a break la kan..besar dr tuan. anyway, I'll try to follow your good example next year LG when adam is attending his playschool.hopefully boleh la.

teringat kat my niece masa dia satu sekolah rendah ngan maksu dia. mak dia dah bg duit saku utk beli mknn, tp ntahler pi belanja beli apa ntah ngan duit saku dia, selamba jer gi kat tingkap kelas maksu dia sbb maksu dok sebelah tingkap, minta duit. maksu dia plak jenis yg bawak bekal dari rumah, abis duit saku kena pow ngan anak sedara..hehehe

Memang sangat bagus kalu kita sendiri masak dan bekalkan anak2 ke sekolah dgn masakan kita..

Terjamin kebersihan, sedap dan sentiasa ingat pada mak kat umah..

Adnazthie,
my hubby kata I kdg2 terlebih rajin,hahaha...

Kak Watie,
kat sekolah my girls, kena bekal kan recess n lunch so kira snack n fruits tu utk recess and makanan berat sikit utk lunch.
Nasib baik beg skolah kat sini tak seberat beg skolah M'sia. I kesian betul tengok my anak sedara mengheret beg sebesar2 n seberat2 mungkin!

Jue,
tu lah kan, masa I dulu skolah primary kat M'sia, beg I tak lah berat mana and still pandai gak,hehehe... Sekarang ni segala mcm buku and what not kena bawak ke sekolah kan, sian budak2 tu!

Sue,
I pun dulu masa my kids baru start sekolah, was so excited to make their lunch boxes. But then when the eldest went through her fussy eating stage, pening betul kepala I fikir about what to put in her lunch box and nak bagi variety, hehehe...

Shidah,
my kids nya lunch boxes ni kdg2 aje elaborate. Selalunya I just campak an apple or a banana or mandarin sebiji2 dlm box tu, tak kuasa I nak potong2, hehehe... Tapi I memang make sure they have enough food for recess and lunch lah.

Kak Ain,
kat skolah diaorang ni kantin cuma once a week aje, tu yg terpaksa jugak buat lunch boxes hari2. Even on canteen day pun I slalu bawak kan lunch boxes utk diaorang sbb dah terbiasa sgt2, hehehe...

Plug,
hahahaha... tu sure anak sedara yg ganas asik nak mengpow maksu nya. Nasib baik lah dpt maksu yg baik hati kan :-)...

Kak Azie,
Anak2 I pulak nya sbb dah terbiasa sgt2 hari2 I buatkan lunch utk diaorang, kadang2 diaorang sampai lupa yg I susah payah buatkan tuk diaorang, hehehe....

Kak Nor,
bukan ibu mithali tapi mmng kena buatkan sbb kat skolah budak2 ni takde kantin. I tak sanggup pulak tengok my kids lapar, tu yg memang bekalkan mcm2. I ni jenis yg takpe berlebih jgn terkurang, hehehe

Hanmean,
salam singgah. Thank you for visiting my blog and reading my entries :-)

CikMin,
masa I kecik2 pulak, hari2 dpt duit belanja kecuali klu ada kelas tambahan, baru lah ada bekal nasi, hehehe...

Rahmath,
I pun sure rasa tersgt lah best nya klu ada orang nak prepare lunch box utk I, hehehe... You'll have fun and pening kepala next year bila yr son starts school :-). About the blog, I pun dulu start berblogging step by step by googling how to do it sbb I ni pun bukan reti benda2 mcm ni, hehehe

Moi,
Hahaha... bila dah balik Dubai, baru lah teringat pasal lunch boxes ye. Masa kat Msia, seronok sakan beraya, heheheh :-)

salam k.min....

menarik tul lunch box yg akak prepare tu.klu camni la gayanya...tiap2 hari bwk bekal pun xpe.hehehe....

masa ayu practical kat melaka dulu almost everyday bwk bekal pi keje sbb kedai mkn jauh.dahle tu xdpt elaun.lauk sebelah mlm tu saja ayu masak lebih so esok pagi juz panaskan n pack.bebaru ni pun ada bwk bekal pi opis sbb kantin tutup...renovation.smpai la pun tak siap lg.iiisskkk...

Ayu,
kalau kita yg nak bawak bekal mcm ni, terpaksaah prepare sendiri, hehe. Nasib baik lah banyak kursus kat tempat keje ayu tu kan so walaupun kantin tutup, still tak payah bawak bekal :-)
