After school semalam, Miss 5 came up to us and said gleefully, “ I know how Michael Jackson died!” The Other Half and I looked at each other and just grinned and braced for the worst before saying, “How did Michael Jackson died?” Then she proceeded to tell us in this knowing ‘I-know-what-you-dont-know’ voice, “ He ate too many pills!” Then we asked her, “Who told you?” She said, “Amira told me. It’s right isn’t it?” So we told her, “People said that’s what happened but we don’t know the real cause yet.”

What perplexed us was the fact that this 5-6 year old kids chatting and talking about Michael Jackson’s death (whom they certainly would have not heard of before his death) during their recess and lunch breaks. Macam mana lah agaknya the conversation started ye? And macam mana lah muka budak2 tu masa tengah bergossip ye, sure ada yang sampai melopong2 dengar the pembawa gossip bercerita, wakakaka. I wonder what else did they talk about! Probably things that I would rather not know, hehehehe…..

And esok pagi, Miss 5’s class will be presenting a play during assembly. I asked her what it’s about. She told me, “Mummy, you’ve asked me that so many times and I’ve told you so many times as well that it’s a surprise. It’s called ‘Crocodile beats’ but I can’t tell you anything else about it!”. Nak tergelak I bila dia cakap macam tu :-). Ish Mummy dia ni, tak paham2 lagi, hehehe. She told us that she’s the narrator of the play with this other girl called Batrisya. I tanyalah dia, what does she have to do as a narrator and how come she was selected as a narrator. She said, she has to read this story from this book and the teachers told her and Batrisya that they were the best readers in the class thus why they were chosen. What I know is that she’s in the monkey group tomorrow sebab I have to provide a brown t-shirt for her to wear during the play. It would be fun to watch them perform esok ni, hehehe….

And esok is also our 3-monthly inspection. The house looks clean and tidy enough. I just have to tidy up the bathrooms and the toilets and the kitchen a bit esok pagi before going to school. Which means I nak tidur awal lah malam ni sebab nak jadi lipas kudung esok pagi, hehehe.

Layan aje lah ye gambar our dinner and also the cupcakes I made for the cake stall at school esok.

Minggu lepas, seminggu tak makan nasi. Minggu ni, dah 2 hari makan nasi, hehehe. I buat rendang daging but yang basah nya sebab biasalah kan, The Other Half kalau makan nasi nak kena banjir nasi dia dengan kuah. Then makan dengan ayam goreng and sayur goreng.

Ini cupcakes oren sempoi I buat. I suka pulak letak icing yang looks a bit ‘rustic’ and tak smooth.
