It’s test time again

Hari ni mulanya Australia-wide test for students in Yr 3, 5, 7 and 9.

Last year Miss 14 sat her last NAPLAN test when she was in Yr 9.

This year giliran Miss 9 pulak to sit for the test since she’s in Yr 5.

Pagi tadi muka dia nervous habis masa dalam kereta nak pergi sekolah…

Macam orang sakit perut aje, hahahahaha .

mesti masa ni there’s so many butterflies in her tummy kan.

And then balik sekolah tadi, she was all cheery and laughing.

She said, “the topic for the persuasive writing was so easy. It was ‘my hero’ and I chose you as my hero Mum.”

Awwwwwwww…….that is so sweet…..

Lega dia dah habis 2 papers. 2 more papers to go and then she’s free for 2 more years.

Lepas ni, mid June ni turn Miss 14 pulak ada exam.

Now she’s in Year 10, they have exam every year in the middle of the year.

Dulu masa I tgh study, I nervous giler masa every time nak exam.

Now ni dah tak study lagi, still jugak rasa nervous bila anak2 nak exam kan!

Patutlah rambut I dah banyak grey hair sekarang, hahahahaha….

Anywaaaaayyyy….

Tugas cook kena jugak berjalan.

Last night I buat mee kari laksa seafood.

My mee kari laksa semua guna ready-made paste ye.

Easy peasy and sedap, hehehe.

And tonite pulak I masak kari again.

But this time I masak chicken briyani.

I buat my style, I guna a bit of rempah kurma, a bit of rempah kari and a bit of rempah briyani for the curry paste to cook the chicken in.

I masak kari ayam tu dulu until nearly cooked.

I masak dalam oven aje sebab tadi Miss 14 ada appointment with her orthodontist so the easiest thing to do is to sumbat the kari masuk dlm oven.

Bila balik, I tinggal masak nasi until 90% cooked and then layer it dalam chicken curry tu.

I ikut the cooking steps yang chef ni buat but I tak guna his recipe lah.

And for the final step, I masukkan dlm oven for 30 minutes.

Bila keluar, jadi macam ni….

Memang sedap! The rice is well cooked and the chicken is so moist .

I tak guna all the kuah kari untuk the final step masak dlm oven tu so bila nak makan, The Other Half yang suka nasi dia banjir, just tambah kuah on top of his briyani lah.

I pulak suka my nasi ‘kering’ so my plate looked like this.

That lump of vege is bende masala from a packet, hehehe.

Balik Msia haritu, we all tak sempat nak makan kari laksa nor briyani so balik sini, kenalah masak sendiri, hahahaha….

And then I masak banyak giler so I’ve put the leftovers in a container and esok I’ll try find a space in the freezer so we can have it again bila2…..
