Finally managed to upload the video after so many days....

Meh layan Miss 4 3/4 membaca her special reading book. Sepatutnya 2 minggu lagi dah boleh habis all the lessons in the book tapi disebabkan cuti2 Malaysia yang sikit punya lama, so banyaklah lessons yang tertinggal. Sekarang ni baru lah nak terkejar2 balik sambung the lessons, hehehe.... We don't really mind, as long as she can read by the time she turns 5, we'll be happy!

Hari ni baru dpt upload video after so many days trying, but a different video. Tak tau lah if it's the other video yang buat hal or if it's Blogger yang ada problem. I'll still try to upload the other video of Miss 4 3/4 reading after this.

Video ni we took earlier today at the playground. It was such a beautiful day for winter so apa lagi, ambil peluang keluar jalan2 around the river lah. We stopped at the playground and Miss 9 was playing on the monkey bars when Miss 4 3/4 decided she could do it too. So, dia pun panjat the monkey bars and started bergayut across it, swinging along being cheered by Miss 9. Bila dah sampai hujung, she just jumped to the ground without a care in the world. We all yang tengok masa tu rasa terberenti jantung sekejap sbb it was quite high for her. The second time she climbed the monkey bars, I asked the other half to take a video of it while I just shut my eyes sebab tak berani tengok dia bergayut. I yang seriau!

Tengoklah betapa lebarnya her smile afterwards :-).

Hampeh betul lah Blogger ni, dah berapa hari cuba upload video tapi sampai la ni masih tak boleh jugak! Dah nak berjanggut rasanya duduk depan pc ni tunggu dia siap upload, masih tak siap2. Mentang2 lah free service, selalu sangat ada problem uploading....memang hampeh!!!!

Dari duduk melangut depan pc aje, baik lah I pergi masuk dapur prepare the food for tomorrow's high tea. The other half's invited his friend n hubby esok ptg to watch the Rugby Trination game between All Blacks and the Wallabies at our house. ANd they are staying until dinner. Aduih, maknanya I kena masak for afternoon tea and also for dinner, wahhhhhhhh!!!! The other half's already told them yang I'll be making all asian 'delicacies' for afternoon tea and dinner. Agaknya dia perasan yang wife dia ni rajin sangat masak ke? :-). So, Malam tadi dah marinate ayam utk buat sate, tadi dah goreng inti karipap n dah buat kulit karipap, kejap lagi kena mengelim karipap pulaknya sambil tengok dvd. Full menu masih tak tau lagi ni tapi rasanya for afternoon tea nak buat karipap, sate, jemput2 udang, roti canai n kuah dhal. But bukannya buat banyak mana pun, just enough to bagi kenyang sikit aje! Pastu dinner buat rendang daging n acar n ayam goreng ke n nasi biasa sebab surenya dah tak lalu nak makan lebih2 kan masa tu. The other half dah mintak sagu gula melaka for dessert pulaknya. Sebab jarang ada guests kan, so bila ada orang nak datang rumah, macam2 lah yang di jamu, hehehe.

Wokay, better masuk dapur sekarang and start buat karipap. Esok I'll make sure I'll take lots of photos of the food. Kalau jadi buat semua tulah, hehehehehe.......

Malam tadi sepatutnya letak entry Miss 4 3/4 tgh baca buku, tapi jenuh cuba nak post video, tak dapat2 jugak, I think there's something wrong with Blogger, again! Pagi tadi pun cuba lagi sambil siapkan the little misses for school, dah setengah jam, masih belum habis upload a 2-minute video, nampak sangat lah ada yang tak betul nya tu. Tadi pun cuba lagi, still with no success. Nak post entry apa macam tu ye? Hmmm..... Nak fikir sekejap.....

Tadi pergi shopping with the Little Misses and the other half lepas ambil them from school. Main reason nak beli socks for me and nak beli school shoes for the Little Misses. I think setakat ni rasanya, they've gone through sepasang kasut per school term especially Miss 9. Tokey kedai kasut pun boleh kopak macam ni kalau setiap term tukar kasut baru! Bukannya sebab they outgrow the shoes but sebab dah buruk abis diaorang pakai. Rasanya Miss 9 ni jenis bila jalan suka sepak tanah or pasir or whatever is infront of her so bahagian depan kasut tu cepat lah sgt robek nya. Pastu, kena pakai kasut all black pulaknya at that school and kat sini kasut sekolah all black mostly leather so bayangkanlah rege nya, kalah kasut mummy n daddy sometimes, hehehehe..... Daddy n Mummy pun tak tukar kasut every term! :-)

So, tadi pusing2 lah kat shopping mall tu cari kasut sekolah yang murah but leather. Nasib baik winter shoes sale masih on so dapatlah the Little Misses 1 pair of shoes each. Nak memilih style kasut pun sikit punya lama, tak nak yg ada lace sbb dua2 masih tak pandai pakai laces, tak nak yang design tak comel and macam boys, pastu nak kena make sure kasut tu comfy, the other half masa ni dah cabut pergi tempat lain sebab tak larat nak tunggu, wehkehkeh. If it's up to me, I'll just take any shoes that use velcro for straps sebab itulah yang paling senang nak pakai pagi2 masa kelam kabut tu. But Miss 4 3/4 dah berkenan sangat2 kat kasut yang ada buckles. Bila tanya dia, sape yang nak pasangkan buckles tu every morning, dia dengan senang hati cakap, " Mummy of course!" Hmmm, sigh......... Nampak sgt Mummy ni takde keje lain agaknya ye ;-).

Dah 3 bulan lebih since the last house inspection, esok dah nak another one. Tu yg beberapa hari ni sibuk mengemas rumah lebih sikit dr biasa. Bila dah bertahun2 tinggal kat rumah yang sama, kadang2 rasa malas pulaknya nak kemas terover2 just for inspection ni. They should have known us by now how well we look after this house so patutnya makin kurang lah kan the inspections! 6 bulan sekali ke or setahun sekali, baru lah best, hehehe..... Barulah rasa dihargai sebagai tenant :-). Miss 4 3/4 membesar kat rumah ni because we moved here when she just turned 2 so memang dia tak ingat langsung her life in Adelaide. That's why she really loves this house. Miss 9 still remembers our house in Adelaide because I guess that's where her memories started.

Speaking of Miss 4 3/4, I baru teringat some more words yang she uses yang an English language teacher will cringe if heard.

Kalau kena marah dgn Mummy after she did something silly:
Mummy: " Are you going to be silly again?"
Miss 4 3/4: " I aren't Mummy, I aren't"
Kita nak marah lagi lepas tu pun tak jadi sebab tahan gelak, hehehehehe..... The funny thing is though, she knows how to use "I'm not". She will only use "I aren't" if someone asks her a question starting with "are you?". Maybe sbb dia fikir, she has to answer it the way you ask it so bila ada "are" kat depan, dia pun jawab "aren't" lah! Hmmmm....

Then, masa dinner tadi. The Little misses were asking if they could blow the scented candle on the dining table.
Daddy: "That's ok, I'll do it tonite"
Miss 4 3/4: " But last nite we blowed the candle."

Itu baru 1 language yang she has to learn, belum lagi 2-3, hahahaha. The other half said that Miss 4 3/4 is just like him, hopeless when it comes to languages. Dah berapa tahun kahwin dgn I pun masih tak tau cakap melayu lagi!

Anyway, tonite's dinner was something simple sebab nak cepat2 kemas kitchen after dinner. I made meatballs to have with pasta. Western lah yang paling simple for me :-).

First, I put all the ingredients into the foop processor and blitzed them.

Then, buat bentuk balls comel2.

Then, panfry the meatballs until cooked. Then tuang kat cooked pasta sauce and siap dimakan dengan any pasta shape. We had ours with curly fettucine. Miss 4 3/4 siap tambah 3 kali, she wanted to have some more but we had to stop her. Dia tu kalau perut penuh sangat terus uwekk!

It's been raining quite heavily most of the day today and dengar weather forecast kata it'll continue raining until Sunday. Masa hujan hari2 mcm ni lah baru terfikir alangkah best nya klu ada clothes dryer :-). Masuk washing machine, then tukar ke dryer, then keluarkan panas2 tu and terus lipat, so nice and warm, mmmmm....... But since it uses up quite a bit of electricity, so pendamkan lah dulu hajat hati, sbb we want to go green kan, konon nya lah tu! Lagipun kat Perth ni berapa hari aje pun yang raining the whole day, tak banyak.

Changing the subject completely, last nite tak tahan betul nak tergelak dengar Miss 4 3/4 (her b'day's coming up very soon :-)) berborak2 dengan Miss 9. I'm not sure if it's just her or a lot of other 4+ kids still have the same problem. Since English is her mother tongue, she has to know how to use the tenses properly in her sentences. Masa I dulu kat sekolah rendah, biasalah kan cikgu ajar mcm mana nak tukar present tense to past tense or to ?future tense. With Miss 4 3/4, since dah guna English hari2 and dengar English being spoken and used hari2 so we all tak lah ajar her formally how to change the tenses. Dia absorbs sendiri from everyday use. But ada lah a few words yang dia still have trouble with even though we all sentiasa correct her everytime she uses the wrong tenses, tak tau lah kenapa. Last nite's conversation went like this:

Miss 4 3/4: "Sis, Sis, guess what? You know when you goed to the wrong room to get the plates, I goed to the wrong room as well to get my cup. I don't know why I goed there. We both goed to the wrong room!"


By this time, there were too many goeds already that we all dah tak larat nak betulkan so pakat gelak aje lah! Then, Miss 9 pun dah tak larat dengar the english language being butchered by her sister said, " It's went, not goed lah!" Itu pun satu jugak, mana ada mat saleh pakai 'lah' lah! Rosak language!

Another word yang dia masih tak reti nak change the tense is bring. A typical conversation goes like this:


Miss 4 3/4:"Mummy, my friend brang chocolate to school today for lunch."

Actually, ada a few more words lagi yang she keeps on getting the tenses wrong but the words eluded me tonite. Nanti I'll update again when I hear her says the words. I have no idea how her teachers at school cope with not laughing bila dengar dia cakap, hehehe....




Tonite's dinner: Fish 'n' Chips

Takde mood pulaknya nak tulis entry mlm ni maybe sbb satu pagi kerja keras mencuci 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets and vacuuming, dusting and cleaning the whole house. Maybe it's just this house agaknya, klu seminggu tak sapu habuk, boleh fill up the vacuum cleaner twice! Bayangkanlah betapa banyak nya habuk yang bertepek, hish..... Nasib baiklah my Mr Dyson boleh bekerja keras tanpa henti.

Since malam tadi dah masak beria and kari daging ada banyak lebih, dinner malam ni masak simple aje. Roti canai segera dgn kari daging and kari dhal for the Little Misses. Sejak balik dr M'sia, the Little Misses dah terminat kat kari dhal to have with roti canai. Nasib baik senang aje masak nya. But dlm malas2 tu pun, sempat juga masak chocolate swirl cheesecake slice, recipe fr Janelle Bloom. Dulu selalu buat kek ni masa raya but dah lama jugak lah tak buat. I think rasa dia maybe lebih kurang sama dgn marble cheesecake kot.

Sepatutnya swirl dia lagi cantik tp tadi tgh malas, tuang aje kat atas batter choc cake tu n swirl sikit and bakar.
