Jingle Bell rocks

This afternoon, we went to watch Miss 8’s choir group performed at the shopping centre.

It was quite fun actually sebab all the shoppers and the shopkeepers took time out to jenguk2 and stop to watch them sing.

But mostly, the area was filled with the choir members families aje lah yang excited sangat2 (including us, hehehe.)

They sang 4 songs. Christmas boogey woogie, Jingle bell rocks, Santa Claus is coming to town and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

Not only that, they also had to sing at 2 different spots in the shopping complex. Padahal bukannya besar mana pun the shopping centre tu, hehehe.

By the second session, dah ramai budak2 yang tak larat nak nyanyi but not our daughter yang masih lagi so enthusiastic menyanyi dan menggayakan the moves, muahahaha…

Miss 8 said she was imitating the music teacher’s moves, tu yang beria2 she moved her arms around, hikhikhik….

(lepas ni boleh lah dia join Australia Got Talent kan, muahahahaha )

And ini pulak dinner we all yang cukup sempoi sebab I malas nak masak tadi, heee….

Vegetables frittata with home made cheesy garlic bread (but using shop bought tiger bread ).

The BOM predicted that there’s going to be thunderstorm with heavy rain and possible hail tonight.

It will be fun to get the rain after a scorcher of a day!

Ramadhan is here…. on Tuesday though

I got the news that Rivervale Masjid and Thornlie Masjid saying that anak bulan tak kelihatan so Ramadhan will start on Tuesday for us. But Perth Mosque pulak ikut calculation so they will start fasting tomorrow.
Since I normally go to Rivervale Masjid for Sunday school, I guess we’ll be following them lah and mula puasa on Tuesday.
(But we all dah berkobar2 semangat nak mula puasa esok, hehehe.)
It is always like that here, they can never agree on the start date which is a bit sad kan.
Anyway, thank you to all my blogger friends for all the Ramadhan wishes on all your blogs.
Hopefully, our Ramadhan this year will be filled with blessings and ibadah. May Allah listen to our prayers and doas.

I am sorry guys, no one has guessed the right present yet but….

someone has managed to point to the right direction even though this person has got the birthday present wrong. Hey, at least, it’s heading somewhere ye tak, hahahahaha……

Punyalah banyak battery-operated stuff sekarang ni kan!

Kalau zaman dolu2, I bagi clue macam tu, sure nya orang terus ingat radio transistor or maybe lampu suluh aka torchlight or paling canggih pun camera lah kan, hehehe. Kalau budak2, either remote control car or anak patung yang pakai bateri and boleh keluar suara tu, hikhikhik…

Kan senang nak teka macam tu! .

The Other Half kata kalau susah sikit the competition, boleh lah run it for 1 week. Kalau senang, 2 hari aje dah ada yang dapat jawab dengan betul kan .

Hari ni kat Perth hujan lebat and poor Miss 7 sebab her class was flooded again!

So far tahun ni, dah 2 kali kelas dia got flooded from probably poor drainage on the roof and then mengalir kat ceiling which ran down the walls and dripped onto the carpets.

First time bocor, their class computers (all 3 of them) masuk air so I think memang dah kaput terus lah. And then since sekolah kat sini mostly ada wall to wall carpet, so habislah basah the carpet tu. Luckily they have a special water soaking vacuum so they managed to dry the carpet without any lingering smell.

Hari ni pulak, it happened again and since The Other Half yang hantar The Little Misses to school, he volunteered sekejap to help angkut the desks and chairs and tables to dry grounds (berguna jugak hubby I ni kadang2, muahahaha).

See, bukan kat M’sia aje banjir ni, kat Perth pun banjir jugak and kat Perth ni pun ada banyak sekolah yang dah a bit run down sebab dah berusia berpuluh2 tahun .

Since I malas nak letak gambar food tonite, I letak video Miss 7 singing one of the songs that she sang at the Sing Fest. But this song is supposed to be sung by 2 groups, 1 group singing one song and the other group singing the other song at the same time thus you could hear The Other Half and me singing with her.

The first video was when I didn’t sing it properly so got told off by Miss 7, hehehe. But lepas tu, dia pulak terlupa lyrics, apadah….

And then this second video is when everyone sang together ‘harmoniously’, hahahaha….

Kesian Miss 7 dapat parents macam kita orang, cari glemer lebih dari dia . Suara kitaorang aje yg terlebih2 kuat sampai tenggelam suara dia kan.

As promised, video Miss 7 nyanyi lagu 12 day of Christmas the Aussie version.
I have to warn you though, it’s a looong video. Ye lah kan, 12 hari nya presents so mesti lah panjang berjela nak nyanyi, hehehe. I yang tukang pegang video pun sampai naik penat. Nasib baik dah makan choc chip cookies before sessi ambik video, so tak lah hypo I, hehehehe…..
So, jom ramai2 join dia nyanyi. Lyrics lagu ada kat previous entry ye! Hikhikhikhik….

Her suara a bit lain sebab she’s got a cold. I know her hair is very messy but memang selalu macam tu bila dah petang. Sikat pagi, kejap aje dah messy balik .
Miss 11 tak join nyanyi sebab she went to work with The Other Half. I spent the day with Miss 7 pegi shopping, helped her bake choc chip cookies and made this video with her.
Sekali sekala kena separate them so tak lah gaduh aje!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri/ Eid Mubarak

Yeay yeay esok Raya, yeay yeay esok Raya….. Anak bulan dah nampak kat Brisbane so 1 Australia Raya hari Jumaat (but ada gak masjid yg pandai2 ikut negara diaorang Raya hari Khamis instead of ikut jemaah Australia Raya hari Jumaat ni). What to do kan, so many different heads….
Seperti yang dijanjikan, tontonilah persembahan nyanyian dua budak separa Melayu nyanyi lagu Raya sepenunhya Melayu. Diaorang cuma hafal the first 2 verses of the song, verses yang lain tu diaorang dengan tak hafal and tak faham langsung apa yang dinyanyikan. Kiranya macam I nyanyi lagu Tagalog lah, berterabur everywhere, hehehe….
Kesian Arwah Saloma, habis jahanam lagu dia dikerjakan dek budak2 ni, hahahaha…

(Pastu sempat berselisih pendapat pulak tu masa tengah nyanyi, hahaha. As long as tak sampai bertumbuk macam kat UK X-Factor tu dah lah kan :-D)
The camera shook a bit at the end sebab I dah tak larat nak tahan gelak masa tu. Tak baik kan I, gelakkan anak2 sendiri when they have tried their best singing for me and siap pakai baju kurung lagi tu :-D.

Since The Little Misses dah baik hati nyanyi lagu Raya, I pun nak buat ucapan juga lah…

Ucapan selamat menyambut Ramadhan

Esok dah tiba masanya untuk tengok anak bulan Ramadhan. Esok malam, I akan call masjid nak tau bila mula Ramadhan. Kat sini mana ada penyimpan mohor2 besar kan, hehehe.
I kalau boleh nak lah Ramadhan start hari Khamis and goes for 30 days so Raya boleh lah jatuh hari Sabtu! Dah duduk negara yang takde public holidays untuk Raya kan so kalau dapat Raya on weekend, memang lah best sangat2 :-). Baru lah boleh relax aje pergi masjid pagi2 and then kalau nak berlenggang kangkung jalan rumah ‘sedara mara angkat’ satu hari suntuk pun takpe. Kalau Raya masa weekdays ni susah lah sikit nak buat macam2 sebab masa yang terhad dengan work and school.
Anyway, last year I letak video The Little Misses buat ucapan menyambut Ramadhan. This year pun sama lah jugak, cuma wording dia aje yang tukar. Seperti biasa, ada dua versions, English and Malay, hehehe. Masih terhegeh2 Miss 11 menyebut sepatah2 perkataan BM tu but I think she’s definitely improved compared to last year! Muahahahaha.

Miss 6 is not well tu yang muka dia lain macam sikit, tak berseri2 macam selalu. Kesian dia, tak sihat tak sihat pun masih kena paksa dengan Mummy dia to do the video, hikhikhik……

Selamat menyambut Ramadhan bulan yang sangat mulia ini. Semoga segala amalan kita diterima Allah dan semoga kaum keluarga kita diberkati dan dicucuri rahmat. Amin………
And our dinner tonite was baked chicken wings with bubble n squeak. Bubble n squeak ni a typical British food lah yang guna leftovers cooked potatoes and cooked veges. They roughly mash the potatoes and then mixed it with the cooked veges and seasoning and then either pan-fry it or grill it. Tapi it is so crumbly, siksa betul masa nak terbalik2 kan tu. I had to salut it with breadcrumb a bit to stop it from crumbling so much. I guess it’s a bit like bergedil Mat Saleh lah but without the meat in it, hehehe.

Seperti yang dijanjikan, tayangan perdana video clip lagu raya terbaru di pasaran (Aussie  style cover version of lagu Saloma 'Selamat Hari Raya').  Pasti kan sape yang nak beli album ni, beli yang orginal bukan cetak rompak nya version tau. And sape2 yang teringin nak sign up artist2 cilik ni untuk record lagu for them atau nak jadi agent diaorang, kena contact Mummy and Daddy diaorang dulu :-). Bayaran bisa di atur, wakakakaka.....
And kalau sape yang gelak mengekek2, mengilai2 guling sampai sakit perut or ada yang sampai contraction nak bersalin bila dengar lagu ni, we won't be held responsible tau! ;-).

Minta maaf lah ye sebab terlambat pos video ni, berkurun I menunggu dia upload kat blogger! Dari tak mengantuk, terus tersengguk2 menunggu. Padahal, bukannya panjang mana pun video clip nya tapi sikit nya lama ke ambik masa. Blogger ni memang lah tak larat I kadang2, bercinta dibuatnya.... Then, tak larat menunggu, I pun masuk tidur hoping that it would have been uplaoded by morning time. Bila I bangun pagi ni, tengok ada error uploading pulak so the waiting last night was all a waste! Aggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Geram nya lah kat stupid Blogger ni! Hmmmm.... So, I had to do it through youtube pagi2 tadi sebelum pergi Masjid. Balik Masjid baru sempat nak publish.
