Vege garden update

We usually eagerly await for the Spring season to come.

Just because of the gorgeous planting season associated with it.

We’ve tried Autumn and Winter vege planting before but tak menjadi pulak nya.

Too many pests and too wet a weather to look after them properly.

So, we’ll stick to Spring and Summer veges aje lah from now on.

This year, we have decided to not plant that many veges cos hasil dia nanti terlalu banyak sampai tak larat nak makan.

Tahun ni, we’ve cut it down to only herbs, lettuce, chillies, cucumbers, a bit of tomatoes and loads of snake beans/kacang panjang.

The Other Half bercita2 nak jadi tokey kacang panjang you all!

hahahahaha .

I sangat sedih sebab The Other Half tak nak tanam tembikai dah sebab dia kata berpuluh biji dapat sampai tak larat nak makan and nak bagi2 ke orang.

I nak lah tanam at least 1 ke tapi tak tau nak tanam kat mana dah sebab semua vege patches dah kena cop dengan other veges, hehehe…

The winter sugar snap peas are still producing peas so we’ll keep them for a while and tanam the kacang panjang seedlings in between.

Ada kot 10 seedlings we all dah tanam so far.

Kalau semua menjadi, memang we’ll have kacang panjang coming out of everywhere, hehehehe….

And our mint yang dah menjalar ke serata alam.

But they look so healthy and gemuk2, rasa sayang nak cabut pulaknya.

Growing very very slowly!

One of our wildly grown tomatoes.

Disebabkan we use compost to make up the vege bed, tu yang berlambak2 tomato seeds sprouting everywhere. Jenuh I mencabut everyday! Punyalah senangnya tomatoes ni nak bercambah kan!

I’ve left only 2 to grow, tak tau lah macam mana rupa buah dia nanti. Hopefully they are the cherry varieties instead of the big ones.

And this is a type of berry plant called loganberry.

We’ve planted this probably 2 years ago kot and tak pernah berbuah.

The Other Half threatened it the other day saying that he’ll give it until the end of Summer for the berry to fruit or else he’ll chop it off!

And memang dah sampai waktunya nak berbuah agaknya pun so it has started to flower .

Macammana rasa loganberry ni?

I have no idea sebab tak pernah rasa and tak pernah nampak pun kat kedai, hikhikhik….

And our grapevines have started flowering.

Hopefully this time we’ll get to taste some of the red grapes before the bl***ing rainbow lorikeets strip them bare!

Kali ni kalau diaorang datang, I akan lastik awal2!

Iye lah tu, macam lah I pandai lastik, hahahahahaha……
