Geramnya hari ni. Hajat hati nak melawat negara Jepun by making sushi with chicken for dinner tonite. So, pagi tadi dah siap2 marinate peha ayam semua. Petang tadi, lepas ambik the little misses from school, kononnya nak mula lah masak the sushi rice. Tengok2 the sushi rice yg I bought at this kedai runcit kat sini, penuh dgn ulat like caterpillars and all the grains are broken and yucky. Tension betul! Nak keluar pegi beli new rice, nak kena angkut sama the little misses, so terpakasalah ku kuburkan hajat nak makan sushi malam ni....Sayang betul have to throw out 1 kg beras. Memang lepas ni, takkan beli beras lagi lah kat kedai runcit tu. Selama2 ni beli beras kat supermarket, tak pernah jumpa ulat2 camni.

So, bila dah tak dapat buat sushi and the peha ayam are already marinating in the fridge, terpaksalah tukar haluan kapal terbang pegi negara lain. Bila dah kesuntukan masa, the plane can only either go back to Perth or go straight to Malaysia,hehehe....Last nite dah makan western so I thought malam ni asian lah pulak. Since dah ada ayam, fikir punya fikir, nasi ayam popped up. Luckily ayam tu I marinate it in soy sauce, ginger, garlic and palm sugar, so kenalah jugak nak di makan dgn nasi ayam.

The other half and the little misses really enjoyed the nasi ayam a lot. I guess it was a blessing in disguise the sushi rice ada ulat, terubat rindu the other half nak makan nasi ayam...hahahaha

And to soothe the geram mood, I made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate filling inside. Tapi sayangnya terhangus sikit on top and the filling didn't really melt properly. Tapi the taste was still really good!
