We just had a long weekend cos yesterday was a Public holiday for WA.
What did we do?
Which was so relaxing!
I didn’t even bake any bread at all in that 3 days!
But I did make a few things
Like this sate ayam and kuah kacang and nasi impit instant
Kalau buat sendiri, boleh letak chicken pieces gemuk2 so makan sikit dah kenyang!
And this time my kuah kacang had cashew nuts, almond, walnuts, brazil nuts, hazelnuts and pine nuts in it.
I basically use whatever nuts I have in stock.
Memang mahal habis lah, hikhikhikhik….
And for people who wonder how this kuah kacang tastes like, it tastes a bit like kuah kacang tanah but less lemak sebab I tak goreng any of the kacang, I cuma oven roast them aje.
I rasa kalau I goreng all the different nuts, sure akan lemak jugak rasanya but tak sanggup I nak menggoreng.
Maybe I should try to fry them in the actifry next time kan.
Other people yang first time rasa this kuah kacang mahal tak sangka ini bukan kuah kacang tanah ori.
They say that the taste is slightly different but still sangat sedap.
Once the girls dah a bit older and tahan pedas, I will up the kepedasan of this kuah kacang so jadi lagi oomph!
I also made some dark choc truffles with almond praline
And prawn pasta with garlic monkey bread for Monday night’s dinner.
The garlic monkey bread was leftover from Friday night.
And we also managed to squeeze in some time yesterday to go to Bunnings and bought some flowers.
