I know everything happens for a reason…
We have to accept it with an open mind and sentiasa bersyukur and redha…
It’s been one of those days where unfortunate things happen one after another…
Mat Salehs believe that bad lucks happen in threes….
On Monday morning, everything was fine until I was driving home from the shops.
The steering wheel just locked up and I couldn’t steered the car at all.
Alhamdulillah I was on a quiet road with not many cars and parking lots around so I could just barely managed to steer the car into a parking lot.
See, I couldnt even park it properly because I couldnt turn the steering wheel at all.
Nak masuk ke parking lot ni pun I kena drove over the kerb!
Mestilah orang2 kat situ ingat typical Asian woman tak tau nak drive and park!
The Other Half said he’s really thankful it didn’t happen while I was on the highway doing 100kms/hour with all the big trucks behind me.
Got the RAC to come and have a look and they said that the driver’s belt has completely snapped off and the car needs to be towed away.
Alhamdulillah we are an RAC member so they paid for the towing and also paid for a cab to take me home.
But the problem didn’t just stop there…
Since that was our only car, we had to hire a car so I could take the girls to school.
Little did I know pagi2 tu bila I keluar rumah pakai baju merah menyala, I akan dapat kereta merah menyala tengah hari tu!
And it was really cheap, $90 for 3 days(with limited kms though) for a Hyundai i20. Small but enough for us to go to and from school.
Alhamdulillah, our Zafira was only in the ‘ward’ for 1 night and we got it back late yesterday evening.
And this morning, I had to return the merah menyala car to the hire car company.
So, I drove there and caught the bus back home.
Alhamdulillah, I didn’t stop at the shops for window shopping before coming home sebab….
About half and hour after I got home, I got a panic call from Miss 10’s school telling me that she had a bad fall and definitely will need to see a doctor and for me to come quickly.
They school is normally very2 calm when they call the parents so when I could hear their panic voice I pun kelam kabut lah drove to school and tak sempat pun nak buat doctor’s appointment.
Rang The Other Half on the way there and dia yang pergi buat doctor’s appointment for Miss 10 and luckily ada slot available this afternoon.
When I got to school, they have already cleaned Miss 10 up a bit and changed her t shirt..
But when I looked at her tshirt and the amount of bloodied tissues in the rubbish bin, I was quite shocked.
Basically blood just poured out from her nose and her mouth.
Tu yg the school’s ladies were panicking.
Alhamdulillah, she didn’t break any teeth or break her nose in the fall.
Got home, rest a bit and then saw that there’s a big tear on the inside underneath her lips.
So, saw the GP and he referred her to the emergency dept.
At the hospital.
She was smiling cos her lips and her tongue were all numb from the anaesthetic gel.
Alhamdulillah, the tear didn’t need any stitching. The emergency doctor just snipped off the flappy tissues and hoping that it’ll heal itself.
If it doesn’t heal, I have to take her there again….
All in all, it could have been much worse so we are very thankful that everyone is safe and no stay in hospital necessary….
But a very expensive 3 days!
The Other Half and I are now mentally and physically quite tired….
