How many can you do?

Masa I kecik2 dulu, I suka main lompat getah. I ingat lagi bila musim main getah tengah naik, semua orang sakan mencari and mengumpul rubber band. My Mak kadang2 sampai mengamuk sebab habis rubber band dia kat dapur tu kena sebat dek we all, hahahaha. Pastu, kalau tak cukup rubber band, semua orang kumpul all the rubber bands and cantumkan semua tu and dapat lah 1 long rangkaian getah untuk main skipping, main lompat getah and macam2 lagi lah.

Sekarang ni, masih boleh jumpa rubber bands ni merata2 tempat but tak tau lah sama ada masih ada budak2 yang tau main dengan getah ni. I know for sure, my kids memang tak tau main getah ni, hehehehe. Sebab sekarang dah ada skipping rope. Tinggal beli aje kat kedai, tak payah susah2 nak cantum rubber band satu satu….

And I pun ada gak skipping rope ni. I beli khas untuk my exercise regime :-). Alah, bukannya mahal pun, cuma $3 aje, hikhikhik…

(siap ada pink handles lagi tu, jangan tak caya, wehehehehehe).

But there’s 1 big problem that I’ve encountered. Masa I kecik2 dulu, I boleh main lompat getah tu satu hari suntuk without huffing and puffing…. But bila dah tua2 ni, I baru aje skipped 50 times, kaki I rasa macam dah nak tercabut. But I gagahkan jugak tadi lompat sampai 90X before my heart felt like collapsing, my knee caps felt like popping out, my calves felt like they are in dire need of oxygen and kalau you ada big boobs, sure rasa macam they are bouncing north, south, east and west, wahahahaha. Pastu terus rasa puffed! The Little Misses punyalah gelak tengok I tercungap2, hehehehe. Nasib baik lah lantai rumah ni simen, kalau lantai papan, mau bergegar satu rumah agaknya bila I skipped tadi :-P. Apalah nak jadi dengan I ni kan, so very very unfit.

Orang kata buat apa I nak exercise lagi sebab I dah kurus. My main reason buat exercise ni is to keep fit. Tak semestinya when you are thin, you are fit. I know quite a few people bigger than me who are way fitter than me!Ye lah kan, bila umur makin meningkat ni, kena lah jaga everything. And one of the ways is to do regular exercise. There’s so many benefits in doing regular exercise (and when you lose weight on top of that, that’s a welcomed bonus :-)). Tak semestinya kena ada exercise machine yang canggih2 ni untuk berexercise kan. Jalan laju2 masa gi window shopping tu pun dah kira 1 very good exercise, hehehehe. Ini exercise yang palingggggggg I suka :-D. Hari2 buat pun takpe, muahahahaha… (tu sebab bila I pergi shopping I suka pakai mocassin-type shoes, so comfy and so senang nak jalan laju :-)).

    50 kali non-stop skipping kira ok laa tuuu, i 5 kali pon blom tentu lagi! hahahah..

  3. betul.. to keep fit yang penting..tp dapat loose weight lagiii suka. i pun baru dpt semangat balik nak exercise ni.masa baru guna treadmill mmg mengah.. padahal 10-15min je. lutut pun rasa longgar goyang je lepas habis. skrg dah ok la.. hehe..

    tp my hubby lagiii rajin.makan pun jaga tu.. rasa tercabar sungguh dgn dia.

  6. Salaams Adik, Kak ni skipping rope dah tak boleh lagi, lutut dah haus nak kena pergi overhaul. I can only do brisk walking. Insya Allah, I'll email you once we reach Perth. Hopefully we can met up. Thanks again.

    in my books 50 kira champion tau...dont ask la berapa I boleh buat..the skipping ropes with a neon green handles dah berabuk agaknya..Everytime buat lebih 10..ku rasa knee caps tu dah meraung & mintak diamponkan dari kena dera..haiz!!

  9. A'ah la kak Min, ingat lagi time dulu2 masa main getah kan?Kita siap bawak gi skool lagik!! Main masa rehat and sebelum masuk class petang(kan dulu ada sesi pagi/ptg)hahaha...

    Rasanya kan makin naik umo nih makin susah lak nak kurus badan..*sigh* smp skang tak shed lagi my 'unnecessary' weight...
    my daughter sebok berhula hoop skang nih...I pun join le skali kot-kot manalah tau boleh ramping pinggang ni kan? Leh le pakai kebaya gitu lepas nih...wakakaka

  10. ah seronok u citer pasal main getah tu, teringat masa kecik2. Skrg tak taula ada lagi ke budak main getah kan. tapi kalau guna getah nak lompat cross the getah kalau terkena pun tak sakit, tapi kalau guna skipping ni sure sakit kan..

  12. LG.. dulu kita queen ZERO POINT (lompat getah la tu). Sampai kalau letak kat kepala org tinggi pun I boleh lompat.

    Now rasanya setakat betis je lepas kot!

    Bab skipping tu.. I ni ada masalah bouncing north south east west lah.. Kalau ada org nak tolong pegang tali skipping boleh la jugak.. Sebab tangan boleh give necessary support ..kuang kuang kuang...

  13. Oh ya...main getah hahahah, i remember this game my favorite. Memang betul tu kita boleh main berjam jam tu tapi tidak juga rasa penat malah seronok lah pulak hahaha.

    Boleh tahan lah you, skipped 50 times. kalau saya huhu, last time only 30 times hahahah. Poor me.

    beto tuh,kalau kita exercise ata machine tu ikut mood,kalau jln kaki,kayuh basikal pegi anto anak ke,secara tak langsung kita terexercise.beto u ckp tuh,kena jaga bdn bukn utk kurus je tp utk sihat.

    yg beshnya bila dh exercise,kita secara tak langsung,lehla mkn2 sikit..kalau tak exercise,risau beto nk suap mknan.

    memula i try exercise,semput la gak,bila dh buat ari2 ok plak.

    I tak tau lah kalau I ajar my kids main lompat getah, whether they'll get the same excitement as I used to have dolu2 :-). Ye lah, budak2 skrg ni kan dah terlebih advanced, hehehe
